Flawless. Mileena looks like so much fun to play as. And so does Kitana. I hope the 360 gets a classic Kitana costume cause then I'd gladly play as her without having to look at that atrocious hair. Goro's Lair looks sick! One of the better stages from this game. I hope the Belltower has the classic stage fatality.

You think her hair is that bad still? I love their looks. Mileena is downright vicious. They really gave the characters so much personality.

I love the part when Mileena is walking towards Kitana to rip her head off and she walks into the light. Very dramatic.
And what's all this talk of a new X-Ray? I must of missed the part where Mileena stabs Kitana multiple times...is it the same move that's in her Vignette?

Kitana's hair is a bumpit that leads into a four foot feather duster. This doesn't give me much hope for Sindel either as they've never been good at animating hair. But it's a minor issue - I just don't know why they went for that look for Kitana when it A) doesn't look that good to begin with and b) they can't animate it properly. Still, if she has her UMK3 outfit, it won't matter. Kitana will be amazing then.

Kitana's hair still seem to be all over the place... I don't think they're going to fix it any further. Oh well...

Other than that, I think this was an excellent video. I wonder what that new X-Ray move rumour came from, because neither of them are doing any X-Ray moves...

omg that sai stabbing is def her new x ray im soo excited and i think kitana's hair looks great it looks like they fixed it i think it flows much better. And can someone help me i presses somthing on my keyboard and the writing has gotten smaller lol

Awesome video. Goro's Lair looks fucking sick, and the fact that Goro is actually present sitting on his throne, actually moving, is the best part of this stage.

The lighting in the Church looks amazing.

lmfao. I don't think it's that bad, quite honestly. I've heard it's very hard to animate hair, and it's not so bad that I want to throw up in my mouth. I think the bun would look cool, but the rest of her outfit would look funny with a bun because the rest is so free flowing. It wouldn't match.

What does Mileena do to Kitana before and after the 20,000 stabs? She pokes her in the chest or something and then after the stabs she stabs her in the face or skull I think. SUPERB. God, I'm violent....

In the uncensored video Mileena glows for a sec and stabs Kitana...alot! It's a similar effect to the one Sonya has when her Xray is used, just doesn't cut to any internal damage.

I have a tendency to be particular about this. Hair is very hard to animate but Kitana's hair has no excuse. A braid, a ponytail, a bun - anyone one of these would've improved Kitana immensely. Kitana's hair in Deadly Alliance was amazing and that was nearly ten years ago. I'm not happy with Kitana's look at all in this game but it's really just my own personal dislikings so I'm hoping she has a classic alternate to make up for it. As far as her moves go, I'm really impressed.

I could be wrong, but it looks like characters are now getting their own custom recovery animations at the end of each round. It's around 40 seconds into the video. As far as I've seen, this is a new animation for her that leads directly into her fighting stance.

It definitely could be a scene of dialog. However, after checking the video I'm not noticing any jaw movement on either characters. Either way it's a nice little detail.


I wouldn't call this talk about X-rays to be a rumor, just a hypothesis based on observations. The purple "shock waves" at her feet make me think that this is a new X-ray in the works. Obviously no bone-shattering moves are seen. However, all X-rays that we have seen so far use similar sound effects and animations with varying colors that are specific to the character. Enhanced specials use fainter effects, as seen with Sonya's double energy ring in the Mileena gameplay video. So it could be a new X-ray (work in progress), or just a completely new move that uses the same initial special effects.

That was beautiful! Kitana and Mileena look beautiful and so much fun to play as. Kitana's hair still isn't perfect but it's not as big an issue as it was before., imo. I agree with Keith though, a ponytail, braid or bun would've been much better for her.
I didn't even realise the stage was Goro's Lair! The transformation they've given it is incredible! It's gorgeous!

That does look like a new X-ray for Mileena. Sucks that we didn't get to see the rest.

I love this game ten times more now, and I've already liked it a shitload lot.

Mileena is truly becoming her own character, which gives true insight that she is not Kitana's twin, not in the least. Kitana was simply amazing, and I love the fans. The Temple - or now, The Cathedral - arena looks stunning. I love the glare coming from the mosaic windows.

All that I need to see now (besides human smoke, of course) is the complete character select screen.

Kitana's hair still loks like shit. I bet it will look like that on final build.

I'll say it again- whatever kind of move it is, I'm just *so glad* the Sai Stab is back in! That was always my favorite MKII fatality- so brutal!
I kind of hope it isn't an X-ray, so it could be done whenever,
but it would make for a much better X-ray than her original.

You know, it might be fun to see the select screen first. Then from Smoke's screen icon, we can speculate on the rest of his model.

For a short while of course. I'd want to see his model sometime shortly after. Otherwise, that might evolve into mind-twisting torture.

Goro's Lair is now 100% my favorite stage. Fantastic.
