The visuals effects that are displayed right before enhanced specials are a little different from those displayed before X-rays:


So here we have Mileena doing an enhanced rolling thunder. She physically glows regardless if the move is enhanced, but notice the faint purple "shock wave" underneath her.


Compare that to this new move, where the waves are much more prominent. If you check back to the recent video of Sonya's X-ray, you'll see a similar visual effect. Notice how the screen shakes while it's being performed.

Like I said, it could be a new X-ray in the works, or it could just be some new special that happens to use the same visual and audio effects as X-rays. I'm leaning towards the former.

I honestly think her Sai Stab is just an EX version of her Backstabber attack and not an Xray. Xray's usually involve something being broken, yet we've no evidence anything internally is damaged due to no Xray footage (Well duh, she's stabbed Kitana like forty times, but you know what I mean). For now I'm just going to class it as an updated version of the Backstabber, but either way I'm delighted to see the move return!

I don't know what some of you are talking about-
Kitana is *clearly* talking here.
Just look at her chin and jaw move in relation to her choker.
You can also see her nose crinkle up ever so slightly, and the shading on her mask changes.
She's either talking, or chewing gum

Wow people are stupid, that is not a new x-ray move. It's simply the same thing as the sai being stuck in the opponents back. The sai is going to work exactly like Cody's knife in SF4. If Milennas sai is in your opponent, whether that be their back, or in this case in their gut, you can perform the multiple stab move. Both versions are shown in the video, right before the fatality is when the sai is in the back, and when it is in the front, its this supposed "new x-ray". Basically if the sai is in your opponent, you can do more damage, notice when mileena stabs her in the shoulders it is the exact same anumation as when she jumps on her opponent and bites them. Like i said it is exactly like cody's knife. It you perform that move without the sai on the body, mileena will bite. If the sai is in the body she will stab them instead.

Definitely, and we know what she's saying, too. I only added that gif to provide an example of Kitana speaking in contrast to the other gif where, at least to me, Kitana does not appear to be speaking.

As for the X-ray/Enhanced Special discussion, her sai stab could be an enhanced version of Mileena's backstabber. The fact that no bone-crushing moves are displayed also do not help my assumption.

However, this move still shares the same visual and audio effects of many X-rays that we have seen so far (vivid "shock waves", X-ray "chime", screen shaking, etc.). Also, as of now her backstabber appears to be roughly a mid-range attack. This new move is purely close-range, and requires Mileena to land an initial strike with her glowing sais before the stabs commence. It just seems too different of an attack to be based off her backstabber, and again reminds me of how X-rays function (requiring an initial attack to land).

Whatever it is, the move is a welcome addition.

No need to be jackass. Nowhere have I said that it is a new X-ray. I'm only commenting on the possibilities given all of the visual evidence provided above.

Regarding what you said... sure. Looking back at the video frame by frame, it does appear as though the "initial attack" with Mileena's two sais is just Mileena reaching out and pulling out the sai that was embedded in Kitana's stomach. If this is true, Mileena has to use her backstabber on the opponent's front as a requirement for this new move. However, what we are not sure of is exactly what attack is being used as a follow up to Mileena's backstabber that would lead to the sai stabs that we see in the video.

The major reason why I would make the claim that this new move could be a new X-ray is because of the visual effects. Since you are throwing out the possibility of this being a new type of X-ray, can you explain why the visual effects are reminiscent of X-rays we have seen in previous videos?

They would not remove her x-ray she has now, considering it was in the vignette released less than 2 week ago. Right now i guerentee they are done everything, they would not change anything at this point, generally at this point in development they are tweeking balance, bugs, making copies of the game for distribution, and glitches.

This move shines like you say is simply effect, draw corolations all you want to an x-ray mileenas is not changing. My guess the camera shaking is just due to the camera doing funky things throughout the video.

Also the only thing i could see changing her x-ray would be if the sai is in the front of the opponent, maybe she grabs it instead of simply punching, but even still i doubt it.

Sorry if i offended, but it boggles my mind that people would think they would change her x-ray just because a small collection of fans, whined about how bland it was.

i am certain milleenas sai will work like cody's knife, in sf4 or diddy's bananas in brawl, only she can summon then, and when she does, she can iteract with them.

It only dawned on me watching that trailer that technically, Mileen'a got more of her body covered up than Kitana (albeit, ever so slightly). Her gloves and boots cover more skin in comparisson to Kitana's, her back is covered and pieces of fabric cover up her torso.

Yeah. She was portrayed by Katalin Rodriguez Zamiar in MK2, Talisa Soto in the movies *puerto rican mixed with others*, then modeled after Talisa in MKG. She was played by Becky Gable in UMK3. Kitana has been portrayed by a hispanic girl more than anything else.
