I guess I might take a look. I'm getting kinda tired of the threads revealing it for me. I am not going crazy or flipping out about these reveals...

Kintaro is in and is a boss

So all four-armed characters will be in? I can dig it. Him being a boss? I can also dig it.

Red woman is playable but has NO NAME YET

Lame... will be even lamer if she was given the name "Scarlet."

-Quan Chi is in

I knew that he was going to be in even if there was nothing leaked about him.

-Sheeva in and has her skin rip fatality.

Good that Sheeva's in, now everyone can shut up about her as well as they did for Liu Kang... Yay for the skin rip. I would love to see how they're going to pull that one off in this game. Better be fucking brutal.

To be honest, and I know probably nobody else is like this, but they could have left out anybody and I wouldn't care as long as I knew they would be DLC later. I was fine with Johnny Cage being omitted from MK vs. DC because I knew he'd be one of the first DLC choices...by the time that was confirmed to be shelved I was done playing the game anyway. However, from your point of view I can definitely see how it would be upsetting, and if this game took place on last-gen systems with no DLC, I'd be furious with Rain being left out. MKT was the second game I ever played, and Rain was one of my faves back in the day. I'd be lying if I said I harbored no nostalgia for him, or indeed any of those characters.

I will say, though, that if one character absolutely HAD to be left out of this particular game...I'd choose Rain simply because of his disposable story.

You do realize tat the reason the red ninja doesn't look too detailed is because she is a background character. Same deal as Kitana.

In game you can see the different textures, etc.

I had a look back at his twitter and he wrote

tsryker alt kostume: black ops style

basically he's all dressed up in black, pretty much black ops style

aftality rpactice omde: You have the option to set unlimited time or actual game time (few secs) to practise aftalities

you can also see the required distance now with visual aids, some very strict such as sweep range to leniant and be relatively far away

And MK wrote

But if they didn't, why is it such a stretch that when they sat down and thought "hmm I wonder who should be in it", they got down to the final remaining characters, and said "hmmm it's between these two"...

There's several reasons why Rain might not have made it (that's assuming he hasn't. We've hardly been given proof either way). There's several reason why he should have.

You just answered your own question. If they both could have made it, why would the MK team even have to sit down and go "Hmm it's between these two", they wouldn't because there would be no need for it. Unless they had an undying hatred for both and could only stomach one.

Now if this was 1995 or 1996 and this game was for the snes or N64, I could understand a character having to be told "OK, not enough room for you on the roster, you gotta bounce", but we're not in 1995 anymore, lack of space is not an issue. That is why that theory is not valid and in my opinion, retarded.

Liu Kang combo video ending with his dragon fatality?

I'd actually be much happier for a somewhat lengthy combo video showing off combos from the characters we've seen but not really gotten any good info about (Sindel, Stryker, Jade, Goro, Ermac. Hell I don't even have a PS3, but I wouldn't say no to seeing what Kratos fights like)

Great news. What comes to Motaro, I think they will more likely make him into the game at least in a cameo form. If they will make that pet of Shao Kahn we saw in the art book into a 3d model they should have no problem with Motaro either. Many people were concerned about Smoke, well I would like to hear something of Smoke too because this news didn't give us any news of him. Maybe somebody could tweet him about that, as well as some other things like Brutalities and additonal game modes.

That quote needs to be in the game regardless of when or where. I'd love it if every now and then someone kicks off his glasses and he says "Those were $500 sunglasses asshole". (In which case, he'd puts on a new pair as his victory pose when they'd normally break off anyway). It would totally redeem the MK team for coming up with "You got caged"

That was just a joke about fighting games, "Raging Demon" is the name of a move from Street Fighter.
