That one-liner is basic and uninspired. It's something you'd hear a mate in early high school say after pumelling you with his favourite character. Teenage humour just doesn't do it for me, unfortunately.
It also makes as much sense "You got Jax'd" or "You got Bladed."

The sunglasses quip, on the other hand, defines Johnny's character to a tee - rich, self-loving, materialistic, and unable to move past his pre-occupation with how he looks (even though he's AT the tournament to prove himself as a great fighter).

I would imagine Kintaro would be the one he is talking about for DLC. MAybe some of the Alt costumes.

With all this what is the character count looking like? It seems like its getting rather large compared to previous games. With NRS I hope they don't sacrifice quality just to please all the character fans. Then again MvC3 is up around 34 and I doubt we will get that many before DLC.

About this whole ridiculous Rain debate, he's one of a handful of MKT characters who's being left out.

Chameleon, Khameleon, potentially Motaro, and potentially Noob.

Don't gimme that crap about the former two not counting, because they're legitimate characters, and any question of that was squashed after they both made the MKA roster, along with Meat and Sareena.

In fact, I remember when Khameleon was confirmed as the only MK fighting game characters that was being left out (of the PS2 and XBox versions), everyone said "eh, just create her."

Well, Rain is gonna be DLC. Way better than a KAK if you ask me.

Any character can be a generically too-cool-for-school and care about their sunglasses and their looks. And Johnny can't really complain about his sunglasses being broken anymore because he is now always carrying a spare. The context of that Goro scene is gone. Adding movie quotes to a source medium is always awkward and feels cheap too. It's like Jack Nicholson saying "you ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?" as the Joker. It worked for that movie...but he's not gonna be running around repeating it in the comics or in Dark Knight, 'cause it wouldn't really make sense, it's only part of Jack's Joker, not THE Joker.

"You got Caged" is a proper catchphrase because it's specific to Johnny, it's something only he can say because his name is an object. Sonya's name is an object too, but she doesn't say catchphrases or fight with blades so it's never clever for her like it is for him. Plus "Bladed" just plain doesn't roll off the tongue.

And like any good catchphrase, it's repeatable and works in any context, but it can ALSO be situational, it works for the way he fights too, like for instance, the parry that begins his X-Ray, it's like he's specifically saying "ha ha, I tricked you" in a signature, character-specific way. Plus it's short enough to fit on a t-shirt or something like that.

See, a good catchphrase isn't the same thing as a funny line. You have to think like a pro wrestling promo, not like a comedy script.

Can't wait to see what they've done with Sheeva. She was my main in Armageddon.

I don't think the entirety of that post about something big was a joke. I think he was just saying it would be very unwise for him to reveal it and used the raging demon (hard move to perform in SF) joke as a sign of that.

Hardest? I have more trouble doing the 1319 commands for Vega and the likes than that one.

Ed sent us that poll for DLC (maybe to trick us into whom might not be in the game like he's done b4; just a little reverse-psychology which he's done how many times since MK2 was 1st talked about) vs. Lupinko/Simon says Cyber-Smoke is an SU unlockable like b4 but on a specific symbolic stage for him specifically - makes sense especially after seeing the concept nobody could figure out with the limbs stretching with a pole up some concept's a$$; maybe the poll was a complete throw-off for us, because they weren't expecting people like Lupinko to spoil the fun for us (or) are all the compan(ies) allowing him to do so to prove a point: being on these threads is u'r own fault for reading this stuff/finding out stuff which it really is, regardless how threads r labeled (Spoilerz). If they didn't want this, I'm sure they could figure him out easily and sue him otherwise or he probably even works for some publisher like the guides or booklets that come with the games; I've worked in printing and know others that told me about MKDA years ago way b4 it came out and it all turned out true. This seems to work out for fixing flaws though for future installment and see what the public thinks about it, which gives them a little time to fix the tweeks.

I did read somewhere deep in this threat that Lupinko was wrong about Mega Man's inclusion; I have yet to read where Mega Man was to be in MvC3 period, and said by him specifically. Lupinko is 100% accurate at everything he's said so far since regular SF4.

My main question is.... how does Lupinko receive such information, especially for MK and MvC3? It's almost like he's collaborating with NRS to stir up speculation and create hype, lol... although I do find it highly unlikely that he works for NRS.
