The first time in history Blum's voice has ever been unrecognizable. Truly he is broadening his range.

Razor just won the thread.
I'm half-surprised they didn't get Nolan North. I thought he was contractually obligated to do voice work for every single game ever made.
I mean, Portal 2 has about, what, three voices? And out of the thousands of people they could have picked, they picked Nolan North to be one of them.
I guess I should be grateful he didn't wind up as Johnny Cage and forever get his Nathan Drake and Prince of Persia impressions stuck in my head.

He's already got his Deadpool stuck in my head, that's bad enough. lol
...Now I know how Deadpool feels.

He did a pretty good job of sounding different (although the vocal effects help) as Grunt in Mass Effect as well. And he's unrecognizable as Ghostfreak in the first season or so of Ben 10. He's versatile but most people who cast him want him as Spike so yeah.
Also I'm like the only person that hates Nolan North's Deadpool. Deadpool's supposed to sound screwed up and gravelly not like some handsome, doofy 30-something.

I can't believe the Steve Blum thing, that's ridiculous. I was saying since the start that he should have done Stryker's voice. Or Kenshi. He should do Kenshi.
I actually thought that Reptile in MKDA looks like he should sound like Guilmon, who Blum voiced.

Keep dunking your Kenshi breadsticks into your Skarlet sauce, people! The main course isn't coming for a while, and you never know when it's going to be disappointing.

Reptile with Guilmon's voice would be so stupid....
But I would accept it with open arms. In the words of the great and all powerful Yogurt...."Adorable."

It came as a surprise to me that Blum was the voice of Hobgoblin 2099 and Vulture Noir in Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions last year, didn't realize he could be more versatile than Spike.
I do agree he should be Kenshi, though.

Richard Epcar also voiced Joker in MKDC. A psychopathic clown and a benevolent thunder deity at the same time? Nice...
Jax = M. Bison, Balrog = Shao Kahn, Strykah = Fei Long. That's kinda fiunny.
Lani Minella also voiced most of the Koopalings in New Super Mario Bros.
And Rouge the Bat. See now whenever I go against a Sheeva, I'm gonna reflexively try to stomp on her head or use a rolling attack.

I knew that, I've owned both games from the X-Men Legends and Marvel Ultimate Alliance series, but it's still nice to know he can be more than just that mutant who won't fucking die or stop appearing in so many fucking comics every month....And yet I still like Wolverine, it's weird.
..Anyway, he captured Reptile quite perfectly.

Just found out that Stryker's VA will be voicing Tygra in the new Thundercats show.

huh, that's cool. Out of curiousity, how many people still thought Stryker was voiced by Chris Redfield's voice actor?

My girl Mileena's voice actor blew me away. She really did the character justice. Jade's voice actor as well did a great job.
Sindel's was crap. She sounds like a grandmother in general (I must've missed the memo where her voice ages faster than her) but when you hit her she sounds like a bird. -_-

I mostly thought it because everyone was saying it.
When I was reading MvC3 voice actors, I noticed that he actually didn't though. I was disappointed at first, but....I prefer Matthew's voice, actually.

Agreed, Matt Mercer did a good job as the die hard cop.

Nothing anywhere says Deadpool's supposed to sound "gravelly". There's no reason having skin cancer would make him sound like Wolverine or Ghost Rider. His character's supposed to be like a fucked-up assassin Spider-Man, so he might as well have a normal sounding voice.

In the Deadpool comic, his voice was describes as "gravel combined with gasoline"... take that as you will.

Who done Smoke's voice? And why does it sound so familiar? Especiall when he say's "Stay down", there's something about that line where the voice seems so familiar.

Well crap, I must've missed that issue.
Kind of a shitty way to go, though. Whenever I hear someone do a "gravelly" voice like in a cartoon or video game, it always sounds really, really poorly acted and fakey.
I'd pick North's Wade voice over that in a heartbeat because it's an actual, believable performance that captures the spirit of the character perfectly.
Only people who actually HAVE gravel voices should do gravel voices. Like Sam Elliot. That guy should get into voice acting, he's awesome. Or the Optimus Prime guy, Peter Cullen. Notice how they're both old dudes. That's how you get a believable gravel voice. By being old and rugged.

Peter Cullen's the shit. The only thing besides Optimus kicking ass that I liked about the Bayformer films...I hope I didn't just make myself uncool saying that just now. >_<

Personally, the only iteration of Transformers I've ever liked was TF Animated from a couple years ago.
But Cullen wasn't Optimus in that, David Kaye was. Which worked alright since that was about a rookie Optimus learning to be a leader, more like Primal in Beast Wars...but Optimus was the weakest character in that one and the show probably would've been even better with Cullen, or with one of those "fast forward look at the future" episodes, with Cullen as older Optimus or something.

*Raises hand*
If someone didn't point on that someone else voiced Stryker, I would still be going around picturing Stryker and Sheeva kicking Wesker's ass..
Stupid question, but where is everyone getting the information on the voice actors? IMBD's list seems a little barren, imo.

You didn't like Beast Wars? Or does that not count to TF fans?
