I think Beast Wars is okay, I liked the show a lot as a kid and I'm certainly no "truck not monkey" purist who dislikes the concept...but I also think people remember it more fondly than the reality. There are fart jokes in that show, the villains were worthless, bumbling comedy relief, and every episode basically ended just the same as they did in the 80's with Megatron screaming "The Autobots/Maximals are shooting back now! Retreat until next week!"

Indeed?

Never figured it was one of those polarizing shows.

That's mostly S1. S2 and onward it becomes the best thing to ever be associated with the Transformers trademark, and I will stand by that.

Oddly enough, I don't recall any flatulence jokes on that show.
Just Waspinator getting blown apart every other episode and Terrosaur being a poor man's Starscream.

Nah, I just rewatched it a year or two ago, there's still the same goofy stuff going on the whole way through. They just make you forget about it more with the whole Dinobot constantly quoting Shakespeare thing and the introduction of Silverbolt/his relationship with Blackarachnia.
What I liked about TFA is how they basically let Megatron's master plans build and build over the course of a season and didn't bring him out to fight the Autobots personally until the finale. So even when he lost, he still felt like a serious threat. And the last season even turned the shitty human friend every TF show has to have into a relevant character instead of making the Autobots babysitters for no good reason.
Also, Weird Al as Wreck-Gar.

Hey,I've only seen TFA up until the point where Sari is revealed to have been a spoiler, but I have nothing bad to say about it,apart from Optimus' lips. Fucking LOVE what they did with the Decepticons on that show, what with them actually being built for battle and, therefore, being bigger, tougher, more aggressive, more destructive and outclassing the Autobots in skirmishes every step of the way.

But Beast Wars Megatron was still the greatest fucking villain ever.

Yeah, my favorite thing about certain iterations of TF mythology like Animated are the way they separate the Cybertronians into groups physically, not just idealogically. "Autobots can't fly", "these ones were made for war, these ones were made for maintenance, that's why these ones have guns and these ones use tools for weapons", that's the shit I like to see. And then you see the two sides actually have to overcome these hurdles and INVENT flight or the giant combiners or what have you, they don't just start out as an indistinguishable mass.

BW Megatron (David Kaye again)does have a great voice.

I love Corey Burton's Megatron in Animated, though. I like how he also did Ratchet and Shockwave, and there's one episode where all three characters have the most dialogue, a lot of the scenes involving them talking to each other...and yet each one sounds completely different, you'd have to be TOLD they were voiced by the same person.

A marked contrast from Blum talking to Blum talking to another Blum in GI Joe Resolute, lol.

I actually think Kaye or Burton should be voicing Shao Kahn. I think either one would easily be up to the challenge of meeting or finally surpassing Steve Ritchie.

I completely agree...Provided Kahn never says, "Shao Kahn, Terrorize!" and transform into a giant Hydra thing...That abomination of a movie really fucked up my childhood worse than Jar Jar did.

Kitana and Mileena aren't the same VA. Karen Strassman is Kitana and Stephanie Sheh (massively playing against type) voices Mileena.

I'm curious where you got this info as all the VA cast notes I could find cite Strassman as Kitana and Mileena. Whoever it was did a great job with Mileena.

Well if they ever did Mileena other than a psychotic manchild, I would probably advise Tiffany Grant. She is nuts. Sheh probably would work for Ashrah, or someone who is subdued.

I love Sindel/Sheeva's voice, but listening to 'You are Pathetic and Weak' all the time is little bit boring. Ivy from SC had more lines than both of them combined. :X

Keep dunking your Kenshi breadsticks into your Skarlet sauce, people! The main course isn't coming for a while, and you never know when it's going to be disappointing.
