I LOVE the church stage!

Which idiot asked for Konquest being in the game? I mean come on who actually enjoys that crap? I only played it cause you have to unlock characters and costumes, and that's it. I played Deception's and Armageddon's konquest each only once. Completely pointless IMO.

Mini games are alright but I'm very happy they're focusing on the core fighting game, which I've been asking for quite a while.

Kung Lao is a effin-beast! those combos are so brutal. Jax is another beast. Only about 4 months left glasses

This idiot would, as well as a few other idiots on this site. Some of us actually really enjoyed Konquest, and thought it was a great way to develop a real-time training mode and an excellent way to tell a story.

MKast Confessions: When I saw the Kombat Temple I yelled "THE CHURCH!".
When they showed Cyrax and Kung Lao's command grabs I started twitching!
The Kung Lao X-Ray cancel made me say "Oh shit!"

I apologize for my commenting on the individual who asked the question about konquest as an idiot.

Just frustrated with questions being asked from fans that we already know the answers to. We already know konquest won't be in the game, I felt a more appropriate question concerning gameplay should have been asked.

I'm going through some rough time right now, I'm sorry if I offended anyone.

Greatest MKast yet. This game is going to be ripe for the tourneys. Everything about it is pleasing me 100%.

Kung Lao? Get outta town!!! That dude kills!!!

The Church? Finally making things from MK3 cool.

Combo scaling, damage, so on and so forth? Bout time.

Yesterday was a effin good Fatality Friday. Bring on more, NRS. You have an MK fan for life in me.

A very exciting and pleasing MKast that gets right to the heart of what we care about: some good, deep gameplay.

I certainly came away satisfied. They addressed many of my concerns, such as damage scaling, the super meter, and air juggling. It sounds like they know what they're doing, so I can rest easy on those.

I loved how they showed characters differences and similarities between the older games and the new game. Seeing characters like Scorpion and Kitana pull off the same brand of combos from the past, only with a beautiful new coat of paint, shows that this is truly the successor to the original Mortal Kombat games and a true love letter to the fans.

I was also amazed at the fluidity and smoothness of the games and the versatility of the gameplay. And, naturally, the Church level looks brilliant. It may be one of my favorite levels revealed for this game.

Overall, great MKast and good questions.

Oh no, no worries. I didn't mean it harshly. I sometimes wonder why I like it so much myself confused I was hoping it would return though, it just had so much unused potential to be a fantastic mode. I just didn't care for the cinematic, linear story mode that was in MKvDC, and probably in this one.

I haven't seen the video yet, but now I am really eager to see it! Stupid YouTube is blocked at work!!!! Argh....counting down the hours....

Some characters will be ground kombo based, and some will be juggle heavy. It depends on what character you are playing against online, and the strategy you will use when choosing a character.

Did you even listen to that MKast? Nothing about the meters has been finalized.

Wait, what does he mean by "Combo Scaling". Because the first half he describes something that sounds like per-hit scaling that reduces hitstun with each consecutive hit. But then at the end he describes the differences in damage/combo ability between Sub and Kitana in the same context.

So does he actually mean Damage Scaling instead of Combo Scaling?

This is pretty important.

I'm HONESTLY more than blown away thus far! I'm truly going to cry when this game comes out simply because Mortal Kombat is my FAVORITE FIGHTING GAME OF ALL TIME! It's part of most of our childhoods and it's just so wonderful to see it returning back to the golden age and the nostalgic presentation. I just have nothing but butterflies in my tummy and I LOVE IT!! I just know and feel that this MK will GAIN SO MUCH RESPECT FROM EVERYONE! It will be A MOMENT IN TIME! ALSO I have to say I'm more than PLEASED with Kung Lao the most so far and not because he's my favorite character...but because he actually has some badass combos and his appearance is so Swagger personified!!!

Am I the only one that thinks that is actually The Temple and not The Church?

Good MKast. Liking the Church/Temple abckground and Kitana's Victory Pose.

Also is that Shinnok in the background of the Church/Tepmle? If so i wonder if the body is any character in particular rather than a generic. Interesting.

I’ve seen a different site think that, and there’s a clear still shot that can be found that shows it pretty good. (not sure if I should post it)

It looks like that figure has a light complexion, but isn’t pale white. There’s no red crown, but there is a gold looking headpiece. And the figure is wearing a dark red and blue-green looking robe.

So unless Shinnok was revamped, I think it’s a generic. confused
EDIT: Looking at it again, this figure in the picture is in a different spot than the figure in the video. The one I described could be out of date.

Wow, what a good MKast. It's nice to know that they are trying to make the game balanced as possible. And Kung Lao's combo was fucking sick!
The Church/The Temple looks like a mixture of The Cave. Could it be that NRS are combining a few stages too? Dun dun dunnn.

This MKast was soo good. This has made me even more excited than I was before. The combos are looking great and I love the throws as well.
I'm actually playing some good old mk2 and mk3 to pass the time to wait for this.

I don't see anyone who looks like Shinnok in the Church. There's a dude standing behind the altar waving his hands around, is that who you mean?

Because that guy's wearing a purple hooded cloak. He's a Shadow Priest.

I have to say that this MKast is pretty interesting. I like that there are more questions about the gameplay, and it's looking more promising. I'm surprised they have command throws in the game, and the parries look much better. I wished that Konquest mode was in this game, but there are always future games.

Would someone like to post screenshots of the people they're talking about? Because I swear to god, I don't see anybody in the Church stage except a body on the altar, which could be Meat, sure...and a guy standing behind the altar with his hands in the air like he's chanting or casting a spell, who is quite clearly a purple robed Shadow Priest.

I'm very excited with butterflies in my stomach also. MK has a HUGE nostalgia factor for me. They were part of my childhood as well. I started playing in 1993 at just 5 years old.
