I know I'm late on this, so I'm just going to rant about it.

Ed Boon, you suck!

I recently came across a few Secrets in MK2011, ones that I'm sure Ed Boon was never going to tell us about. Like the hidden chests in the Krypt, and Noob-Smoke being playable (kinda). The only thing about Noob-Smoke is that Smoke doesn't show up with Noob Saibot when he wins; the clone is still there. What a ripoff!

I also came across how to access Skarlet's purple costume, which is really irritating to obtain.

Apparently there's a way to play as Goro, Kintaro, and Shao Kahn without hackig the game, but I have yet to figure it out. I know someone here knows, so TELL ME! Thanks.

Anyhoo, I hate it when Boon does this, because I end up missing out on a lot of stuff because he wants to be sneaky and shit. Supposedly Rain was playable in MKDA, but I'm not sure if that's true. If it is, Ed Boon you suck!

Okay, I'm done.

Skarlet's purple costume? Do you mean p2 colouring which i thought was just a more vibrant red?

I'm all ears (or eyes, whatever) if anyone can explain this.

Riyakou, all this is news to me. Where exactly did you hear this from? And in the past I asked if there were any other secrets left to be discovered in the game. Someone replied saying no, because hackers can decompile the code written for the game (or something to that extent) What are your thoughts on this?

Can the bosses be played online too?

No, this one is dark purple, and it's obtained in very stupid way.

I found these and other cheats on an Xbox 360 site, but I don't remember which one, and I'm too tired to look for it. I have to go to work in the morning, unfortunately.

I'll look for it eventually.

I am listing below only the secrets I myself have successfully used.

I guess I'll add more as I get to them. Or you can go here.

Secret Krypt Locations
NOTE: Look for a swarm of glowing green bugs. When you see them, just sit and wait.
1. Deadlands: To the right of DL-52, left of the building
2. Hollow of Infestation: Along the wall, in front of a demon head sculpture
3. Meadow of Despair: To the right of the Necropolis entry
4. Bloodmarsh: Along the wall, in front of a demon head sculpture

Skarlet's Purple Costume
Select any fighter with an alternative costume, select costume with START then cancel and select Skarlet and press START again. She will be a purple color.

Noob-Smoke Easter Egg
For This you will need classic Noob and Smoke DLC. Press START on Noob, this takes you to his costume select menu. Go to MK2 and press START. Use Noob's moves where he uses his clone, you will see Smoke instead of the clone.

I tried the START button select thing this morning and it worked. Basically Skarlet's colour is kind of maroon to be specific, and it IS her p2 colour. This also works with the other DLC characters. Freddy's sweater has light green & dark blue stripes, Kenshi's costume has blue trim instead of red with green glowing hands and Rain's colour is more vibrant purple.

Anyone know more about the playing as boss characters hack i keep hearing about? it's nearly impossible to find any relevant info in the web just google searching.

I also heard it was possible to play as Onaga in MKD through a hack.

Nah, the one I get with Skarlet has more of a bluish tint to it, that kind of purple.

I guess that would be violet...?

Anyhoo, maybe it's a glitch I'm having or something, but what I get isn't maroon, and I know, 'cause I freakin' hate maroon. lol

Pickle is right.. You press start on a character and then press start on Skarlet and you get the p2 color. Same thing goes for all the other dlc characters.
Pressing Start on Skarlet gets a different RED.

Going to a normal character, press Start, select a costume with Start, Cancel, and pick Skarlet with Start, and she will be almost Mileena PURPLE/PINK.

What's this about Noob having a Meat skin?

Never heard of that one. What's that about?
Something I thought I read about playing as Noob for 50 rounds or something, and him having the skinless x-ray model.

Nice to see that there are still some secrets to be discovered in the game. :P
I will try these things out tomorrow. ^^
Wait, nevermind. I'm an idiot. It might've been the stage lighting. I could've sworn I picked Skarlet with Start, and she was just Red.

since Scorpion has a costume select the easiest button combination is:
on the Char select screen press START, START, B (or whatever the ps equivalent is i think it's circle) then move to DLC char and press START.

shall try searching that Noob/Meat thing in a bit, and try it out for myself tomoz, but as might be a helpful hint, do you know if it's 50 matches or 50 wins?

Riyakou, you know you have my respect. But I don't understand.

People push and push and push for more content. And now content is bad?

I feel sorry for NRS. haha

It's not the content I dislike, it's the fact that Boon never tells us.

Even during the promotion of MK vs DC, he stated there were secrets in MKDA we still haven't discovered. I'm like, "Dude! Just tell us already!" We miss out on potentially great content because Boon wants to be secretive and shit. If you ask me, it ain't fair.

Did anyone go back and tried to find any after he announced that?

It's not, just a popular rumor

Yes, like just this summer or last year. IIRC, it unlocked Human Smoke AND Khameleon? Useless-ish?

From Gamefaqs:
"
Passwords

Ultimate Kombat Kode

After getting a game over screen you are prompted to enter a "Ultimate Kombat Kode". At this time enter 113-840. The screen will flash when the time runs up and the text "Smoke and Khameleon are at your control" will appear. Both characters will then be selectable on the character select screen. Thanks to Proto K for discovering this.

Contributed By: hiro1112"

Ka-Tra
My bad, this is from the MK Wiki:

"The N64 version of the game, like MK3 and UMK3, provides the player with an "Ultimate Kombat Kode" screen after a single player game is over where a 6 digit code can be entered to unlock Human Smoke and Khameleon for normal play. The code (113-840) remained undocumented until April 26, 2007 when it was posted by a user named "Proto K" on a ROM hacking forum board (Acmlm's board II). When used "FROM THIS POINT ON.... SMOKE AND KHAMELEON ARE AT YOUR CONTROL" appears and they both become selectable at the character select screen. Both characters, however, could be unlocked through other cheat codes as well. Despite the other means of unlocking the two characters, this "UKK" is currently one of the most elusive cheats ever in Mortal Kombat history."

Any news on Noob's X-Ray costume? The idea is enticing.

Do you think that Blaze and Mokap may actually have fatalities?

I wonder if this applies to Mortal Kombat deception as well.
