No "kreate a fighter" mode in this one?
I also hope to see a practise mode with the possibility to fight a moving opponent, like in Tekken. Same thing for the duel mode.

I have to agree, I'd be eternally pissed if they took off offline 2 player, but I can't really see that happening. I dunno about same console 4-player, but I wouldn't count it out just yet. I imagine that you'd be able to team up with a pal on the same system against two more online, but that's just theorizing. Any more info on that would definitely be appreciated.

as far as I know only cyrax and kitana have been confirmed since E3. the magazines were guessing and I have yet to hear Boon's Ermac interview.

Kano and Shang Tsung arent confirmed, though most likely will be in the game (really it is a given Shang Tsung will be there unless Boon is a liar).

Just me or is Cyrax just a "pallet swap" of Sektor? Which I'm totally fine with and actually as a long time MK fanboy would like to remain as a nod to the past.

I really hope for a tournament mode like the trilogy version but what worries me is in one of the ed boon interview he talks about tag team 2 vs 2 on 2 different consoles but he didn't say that you can play tag on 1 console.

there really should be same console four player. the technology seems like it would be able to handle that, and there are so few simultaneous four player games worth playing. it would be even better, (though i may be asking too much) if those four could go online together to form a room.

Why the hell don't they just come out already with the full roster? Or at least most of the roster? I mean cmon.... this is horse shit in this day and age to be pulling this crap.

Now if it simply is because all those characters not shown yet aren't ready to be due to moves not programed or models not finished, whatever, thats fine and dandy. However they still can tell us who is in the game. Why must it be some big secret? It is dreadful way of marketing the game...... I mean shit.... I want to know more about the game besides just who the characters are, but it is like nothing is gonna be revealed but characters till release it feels like. Just dumb.... and pisses me off.... Other games dont pull this crap.....

The waiting to see a few characters mentioned at a time is one of the nostalgic factors to me. Its like when I was growing up and you was always pumped to hear who the next fighter would be and it would give you and your buds a LOT to talk about. You where always talking with someone about whos in and whos out and what kind of new characters might make the cut.

They dont show all the characters because it makes you really look forward to the game more i mean come on your freaking out right now because you want to see the characters and thats what they want so youll be so much more happier when you finally see the characters. plus you can already guess who will be in.

Ermac is definitely in the new Mortal Kombat.

I didn't want to make a whole thread about this, but it would be cool to see character bio's come back in the same fashion as MKvsDCU. Has this by any chance been confirmed?

You need to add Sonya to your confirmed characters list.

Last week I walked into GameStop and looked in their future releases book. Under PS3 and Xbox 360, the game was listed as "Mortal Kombat" for a street release date of MARCH 2, 2011.

Has anyone else seen this or has this been confirmed?

i strongly recommend for new warriors in MK9, especially with oriental backgroud japan or china, 4 is good not DLC. more warrior from the east can make MK9 sell good in japan( kung lao is such a appealing warrior in japan) this make MK9 perfect, remember, MK9 is not made only for you old fans, it should attract more people who never played MK before, so please make some new faces, replace the old unpopulared boring ones such as sindel kabal jade and sheeva. and i am VERY confident in NetherRealm' s imagination that they can make more new cooler warriors and looking forward to them. if all 26 warriors is just a remake of MK123, then MK9 is a failure

I can't find any news about this but I am pretty sure a new stage has been revealed. It was very very quick but for a few seconds at the start of the new MKast (00:31) Scorpion and Subzero are fighting in the Check it out and you will see it. Is it this stage or past of one we have seen already?

That was the MK vs. DC version of the graveyard. Hopefully a new one for this game is in the works.
