If your a member of this site and you don't all ready own the game there is something wrong with you. ( I understand buying it if you don't have online play though)
When will we know what surprise # 3 is?

I already have the first edition and I bought the DLC characters I want (that means all but Freddy), I already got both movies on blu-ray and I don't want the soundtrack, so I won't be getting this edition.

On the IGN boards (aka the greasy armpit of hell aka troll central), some people sounded angry about the fact that they paid for the DLC and now everything's coming out at a reduced cost. People were also asking why they'd buy this since they already own the game and the DLC.
To those people, I'd say this: A company wants to make as much off of a game as possible. If they can repackage it with the DLC and sell it later at a reduced cost, then they will. This is not directed at people that already own the game, it's directed at people that don't yet. By saying that this is a great, well reviewed game, which comes with bonus content at a reduced price, you might just get more people to buy in and get some more life out of it.
Also, to me, the whole price issue that some have grumbled about... You pay more to be an early adopter. That's just the nature of supply and demand. When a new car comes off the assembly line, it might cost $25K retail. A year later, it might cost $18K or even less, since most people buying a new car will want the newest model.
It's the same with video games. You can buy a game new for $60 when it comes out or $20 after a year because the demand isn't nearly what it once was. So I'm not sure why anyone would be angry at the idea of game that'll be what, 10 months old, 11 months old (?) coming out with a package like this to try and gain a few more fans and get a few more buys.

No one is forcing anyone to buy this edition. If you have it already good for you, if not, stop living under a rock and get this baby.
I'll probably end up getting this, not on release date though. I am an MK freak, I've owned 2 copies of every game from MK Deadly Alliance until MK9. I have MK9 on both Xbox360 and PS3. Will probably only get the Komplete Edition for 360. Just in case. LOL.

is anyone else extremely dissapointed this means, without any doubt remaining, they will never implement the bosses as playable characters?

The first time Goro and co. were officially playable in the original 2D games was Mortal Kombat Trilogy. Perhaps in Mortal Kombat 11 we will have all these bosses playable.

I think so. Also, no Bell tower fatality which is kind of a bummer too. The only thing I can see happening in this release is alternate costumes and Nekropolis spots for the new characters as someone mentioned but I think chances of that aren't huge.
I love MK2011 but the absence of some of the things mentioned is kind of weird to me. But maybe they had to make choices due to technical limitations. The game is awesome in any case.

It includes digital download copies of the first movie and soundtrack in addition to the DLC that was released through the marketplace. How is that not extra? Even the TE & KE versions of the game din't come with the movie or soundtrack packaged.
If you bought the TE version plus the movie, soundtrack and DLC when they where released months ago it would have cost you over $200 + tax. You could buy this, plus the arcade stick separably for around $140 (+ whatever shipping on the stick).
I'll admit it would have been nice of they threw in MK: Annihilation and the MK: Legacy as well.

Why would anybody want Annihilation, it was the biggest piece of shit made, if anything including it would de-value the game.
Asides from that, it would have been nice to include all classic skins, I can't imagine it would be that much of an effort to include.
Some added stages would be good, but seeing as though there seems to be a fair amount of effort put into each one, it's understandable that they won't be included, still, would have been nice.

Not interested in the least.
What I find ultimate stupid is that they had this opportunity to put in ALL the classic skins, yet they are still only including the hit-or-miss checkerboard that we got via DLC. 3 ninja girls with MK2 retros, 2 without. WTF is up with that? MK3 skin for the blue guy, but none for the rest of the ninja rainbow. It's just really stupid considering all the hard work is already DONE, they just need to swap the palette.
Necropolis spots I can take or leave, but even if they're in, this edition is hardly "Komplete."

LOL, exactly. And the first movie was fairly good, though it's really dated now, but the digital download music? Who cares? Kabal20 Wrote:

I sold the game after a couple weeks of playing it and never plan on buying it again.

If it added the Arcade Stick (With an additional original MK layout), the Scorpion and Sub-Zero Statue, Klassics for the rest of the characters, MK3 skins for Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Reptile, Ermac, Smoke, Noob Saibot, Skarlet and Rain, MK2 skins for Scorpion, Sub-Zero Reptile and Skarlet then I might buy it.

Has anyone heard anything about the price? i read a friend's Facebook that his friend got the pre-order price from Gamestop and it was... $59.99 the same price the game was when new.

To be fair, it matches the current "sale" price of the game on their website combined with the DLC. I wouldn't take it as final word yet.

I love the lack of sources here... I sent that newsfeed to you right before I went to bed last night after midnight and hilariously it's on your twitter an hour later and updated in the article. naughty naughty.

You know, I could see them selling it for $39.99 or even $49.99. But, to sell it at a price of a brand new game, I dunno. Just seems like they think changing the title of the game a bit, will deceive those who haven't already bought the game, to think its a newer game than what it is. Even Capcom doesn't release the updated versions of their games with a price tag of a brand new game, just saying. Least I know, when MK10 comes out, I will just wait a year to buy the better...errr updated version...uhh re-release of the game.

It seems they've discounted the game price and added the bonus into it to makeup for it:
Game - $59.99
DLC - $15
Movie Digital - $5
Music - $10 (usually sold on Amazon for $10)
this sets the base price to the actual game (without DLC/skins and the other bonuses) to $29.99. So that'll probably be there excuse for this price "because they're not charging us $89.99 for this set" which they could
