Indeed, we don't like the hair animation, but her hair in concept is amazing. I do like the long hair, as a hint to the relation she has as Sindel's daughter. I just wish the animations in-game would be fixed. When they do that, it'll be perfect. ^^

And if you like the hair animation or don't have any problems with it, then that's just great for you and then you don't have tthese worries like we do. ^^

yay, I can always count on my fellow gaymers! I said her hair is fine, but I do see problems too that can make it better. If they fix her hair animations, I will be happier, I can't complain lol *which I think others may have misinterpreted me being content with the animations over thinking it's flawless*. I watched the Liu Kang vid over and over *just the Kitana parts, got some nice screen grabs too haha* it looks fine, there was a moment when it went a little crazy, and another when it went through her body when Scorpion speared her. So, even though I will be the superior Kitana fighter regardless because of my awesome skillz, I'm hoping they tweak her hair even more because it seems like everything else about Kitana is perfect!

Yes, there is nothing "major" with those hair imperfections in comparison to Kitana's. There's a reason why everyone is complaining/criticizing Kitana's hair and not Sonya's or Mileena's or (as much) Jade's and Sindel's.

I'll definitely agree that Jade's hair animation looked odd in the first video we saw of her, but, it is no where near as bad as Kitana's.

Sonya's hair looked near perfect in MKvsDC (pony tail and bangs. Remember those sexy bangs?), and it still looks very good now.

One imperfect shot of their bad hair doesn't compare to tons of horrible shots and video footage of Kitana's thing.



"Most beautiful female design in MK's history" is nothing but a very subjective and very arguable (and a tad biased) opinion.

I personally find her huge arms and beastly shoulders quite unappealing.

If anything, I find Kitana to look beautiful only in her 1 render. Mileena, Sonya, and Jade look more beautiful not only in their renders but also in their in-game models. Even Sindel looks more beautiful even though her beauty is quite different from the rest of the gals.

Personal opinions, of course.

I guess its Ok to compare the hair imperfections of characters for the sake of comparing, but, to say that Kitana's has the same bad imperfections as the rest is absurd. Yes, her hair is longer and that's why its more noticeable, but that doesn't change the fact that it looks worse then all the others combined.

You are right about Jade's though. It is not as bad, but, definitely needs improvement. Hopefully it will be fixed as well.

Actually it is not absurd to say that Kitana has the same imperfections as the other females, because they all have the exact same hair problems. They move the exact same, the have the same rubber band, life of its own hair animation problems. Kitana's hair is just longer so it is more visible on her than the others. Another thing I keep pointing out, is the females abnormally large hands and feet. I first noticed this in those first scans of Sonya and Sindel, then I noticed it on Kitana and Mileena. Please fix the hands and feet NRS.

I have to agree I think Kitana is the most beautiful character model to date followed closely by Jade :)

I'm not sure what you guys mean with Jade's hair is like Kitana's... It flops around like a ponytail would, just like Sonya's hair do as well. I've looked the Noob gameplay video through many times now to see how Jade's hair behaves and I can't see anything wrong with it. I might be biased though, since Jade is my favourite character... :P

looks great to me. love nightwolf's call lightning attack; better be in his fatals! old shang looks great, as does his stage. i might be the minority but kitana's hair does not bother me too much. it looks better than the god awful blue ribbons from mk vs dc. i agree that it is a bit stiff from what is shown, and they should just go with the bun or long ponytail from mk5, but oh well. there is likely to be a classic outfit for kitana and a 2nd alt. so no one should be too frazzled by her main. i guess one would think they could do better hair physics with an unreal engine but guess not. maybe the final version will appease. either way, its all about the gameplay, not how stiff hair is

hey hey hey, Sonya and Kitana are only allowed to do friendships on each other. Because they're besties ;)

1) Yeah, I agree Jade's hair definitely needs to be polished because it looks bad in that video. It will most likely be given waves like Kitana;s. However, its still not as disgusting as Kitana's hair.

2) Sindel looks gorgeous. Her design is very well done and probably the least criticized of all the females.

3) LOL, Kitana does look very pretty in that render. I honestly like her there (not the uninspired costume) and the gorgeous hair. But, thats it. Thats just it. She looks awful in-game, she looked manly in that Concept Art, and her hair should be given a name of its own. She really is far from being "the most beautiful female concept ever" when you have such lovely renders and in-game models such as Jade's, Sonya's and even Mileena's to compare her with.



You are just jealous that Sonya's (and others) been kicking Kitana's punching-bag butt. It's really not going to be hard (at all) to find a ton of more unflattering pics of Kitty, you know?

Jade's hair looked as bad as Kitana's hair used to look, if not worse in the Noob video. But we shouldn't worry bcuz it will be perfect when the game is finalized.

I'm not criticizing Sindel's new look. I think it's perfect for her. Sindel should always look ugly, scary and old. I simply said that you can't compare Sindel with Kitana, beauty wise..... And I'm so glad they tried something different with Kitana's appearance. Honestly I think it suits her perfect, she looks stunning. Many people like or dislike her new look, I guess it's just a matter of different opinions and tastes. I personally love it!

Jade - I agree with you that Jade looks beautiful on her Render, but IMO not even close to the princess =P lol

Mileena - she is an evil sexy bitch, and I Iove her in this new MK. Although just like Sindel, she looks beautiful in a different way.

Sonya- she has never really symbolized beauty, she's more of "bring it on" chick and still is. I think her new look is interesting, but it doesn't really fit her character. But oh well, she still looks badass and I LOVE her Xray man!

AND yeah! I'm sick of watching my Edenian Rebel beat like that. Man it was difficult watching her fight Mileena in her Fatality trailer and Vignette. Kitana will have her revenge, I'll make sure this Saturday ;).

Jade's hair was acting a little crazy, I noticed that. I'm sure NRS will be able to handle it though.


Sindel's face is pretty and her design is cool, but I agree, you can't compare the two. They're two entirely different types of beauty. I prefer Kitana, but Sindel seems to have a strong fanbase too.


I agree, Kitana is by far the prettiest, Jade a close second, in my opinion.


Mileena is sexy, but Kitana has a hint of elegance to her costume that Mileena's doesn't have. And her eyes are glowing yellow. I have to vote for Kitana again.


As far as physical goes, no I don't think Sonya has anything on Kitana. She's pretty, but nowhere near as pretty as Kitana *ingame in out*, again, in my opinion. But Sonya's not known for being the pretty fighter, Kitana is, so it makes sense...

Dude I might go to LA on Friday to play MK. I just hate driving over here, it's like another dam country, with horrible drivers and extremely bad traffic.
