Sorry to be negative, again, but if this is what the 20 days countdown was for, it sucks (to put it very, very nicely). No more waiting for this kind of crap from my side anymore.

The Scorpion pic I think is actually his throw where he spears them in the air and yanks them too the ground. His regular spear move wouldn't cause him too fall.
btw, the countdown was to open up the forums and the Kombat chat. They pushed it back in order to upgrade the servers for a more massive load of activity. So it should be open in a week or so.

As for this, I have to believe this was something to hold people over for the "true" announcement. I suspect something went wrong to delay the release of this information momentarily, and as a fun gesture we were given these images as compensation.

I love Johnny Cage and those are all cool pictures. I'm glad to see him getting some spotlight and all his awesome twitter comments...

However, this simply CAN'T be the real update after a 20+ days countdown (which actually restarted with 4+ extra hours after it finished)...it just can't be.

The high res image with Kahn in the background is looking really good. Kahn looks great! Makes me hate his current render less. It may actually turn out pretty good.

I suppose the update is pretty good considering we got the GT exclusive coverage last week and the latest Scorpion combo trailer.

Wasn't expecting much with this update, but I'm loving the hi-res screenshots. Kahn's Arena look gorgeous. 5 more long months to go before we finally get to play, damn I hate waiting lol.

No offence intended, but do you mean to tell me your not the slightest bit pissed off that the NRS team think it's appropriate to make their fanbase eagerly wait 20 days and 4 and a half hours (to be precise) for 5 feckin' screenshots?? Seriously like?

It's not on in my books. They need a kick up the ass from their fans to preasurise them into releasing the solid, genuine and diverse updates they've promised us with their Mortal Mondays, Mkast's and that waste of space Website. For a legion of gamers who take pride in following a franchise that was so bloodthirsty and gorey it was one of the main reasons the ERSB was founded, we've become remarkably complacent and laid back. If they want to listen to their fans, they should genuinely listen to their fans rather than cough up a Scorpion video every now and again and hope it keeps us satisfied.

I for one am not impressed with being consistantly lied to and let down by their inability to follow up with what they offer. Now watch as a wave of loyal devotee's flock to belittle my opinion.

NRS need to abandon these countdown clocks they've been nothing but dissapointment. Just put stuff up or update when you're ready. Most of us are just sick of the lack of an update or failure to update.

The Jax & Subway reveal was the perfect update. No screwing around just good solid stuff. More like this would be great.

Yea at least follow through with these lame timers, if they are gonna be useless then please don't use them, they are not effective at ALL.

Awesome stuff, Cage looks boss this time around. I don't pay attention to that timer anymore because when it's a disappointment it's a disappointment haha, but honestly, we just got the Jax and Subway reveal last week, so it's not even an issue. They should abandon the timers, just release updates when they're ready and only then.

I'm not too upset about the countdown for 2 reasons:

1) With their reputation, I had very little hope that anything would turn out.

2) The reveal of Jax, the stage, and its Fatality were enough for me.

Just out of curiousity; how come Johnny Cage has green-chi-like special powers? Cause it makes very little sence to me.

Johnny Cage is a phenomenal actor who can do all his own stunts, including ones that would require CGI. That's your explanation.
