Yep, that's the setup that I tested. You can still get them in the air (falling to the ground) off of say 3,D+1,2, but the true OTG appears to be gone.

Well sh**. As if Jade wasn't f***ed enough with NO good overhead/low mixup options, Now they screwed over her reset. The least they could have done was speed up her qcb+2. F*** you NRS.
Jade is my favorite character, but she really can't stand up against most of the others, now more than ever. Guess it's time to officially start maining Mileena, or scrub up and pick up Raiden.

I guess I got lucky with the skins still available online. I just don't like the disconnects, and all of a suddens the noobs pop out with Sektor playing him like Ryu with all the rockets and uppercuts as if they were hadoukens and shoryukens.

That's not dumb, it uses 2 bars of super meter, so he's left without a breaker after he does that combo. Ermac is just fine, his damage output is big, but he's got his weak points too.
He's not the only character with massive damage output anyway. Kitana has a 48% damage midscreen combo that doesn't use any meter at all. She can do 51% damage with X-ray, so those two combos (very "doable" in a single round considering the first one doesn't take any meter) do 99% damage. However, those Kitana combos have trickier timing and require more skill than Ermac's. Thank God for breakers though.

Yes, he is. He's actually participating at the CEO tournament this weekend. It'd be interesting to see how well he will do considering other high level players are there as well (Justin Wong, PerfectLegend, Tom Brady, Floe, ...)

I'm still scratching my head at how spamming moves, which is completely counter-able, is looked down upon, but 50%+ combos, which leave you totally defenseless, are lauded.
I'm not anti-combo, but does anyone follow my confusion here? Why spamming is considered cheap when it's completely beatable but combos aren't cheap when there's nothing you can do but put your controller down and watch the show! =)

multi-hit combos are ever so slightly harder to pull off than the same special move over and over again. they require timing and skill, which spamming special moves does not.

Right but combos also turn the game into a quick fight. If you have a 50% combo, all you have to do it catch me twice with a hit and it's game over. It's like a two hit KO fight.
But i accept it. We all play in our own style and I will never be a combo player. just saying that combos can be considered cheap if you look at it a certain way.

360 hasn't received the patch yet, so it makes sense that you can still do it.

As of last night, still no patch on xbl. Netcode ranging from questionable to outright terrible.
fyi; fixing a glitch is not a nerf or a buff. Its making the game work like its supposed to. Whether it makes your character better or worse is irrelevant.
Also, imo quan chi getting jump in punches off trance more than makes up for stomp nerfs.

i agree with you that combos can be spammed like my main is sindel and when i vs a subzero player all they do is freeze and combo me so to counter that i keep them back by shooting i dont thinks its spamming its just countering what there doing like why would i be up close and get frozen all the time then people say i spammed ??
Update on some 1.02 patch findings (there patch notes are community based on what players found on TYM):
Yep this is definitely the legit patch that Tom hinted. I'm sure there will be another hot fix patch to follow slightly before or after Skarlet is released.
Smoke Reg. Smoke Bomb can no longer OTG after Air Throw mid combo. But EX Smoke Bomb can. It knocks away and gives unscaled damage (10% lol).
Kabal can still dash cancel his block strings. Kinda cool. Kinda hope its not removed entirely...but tweaked a lil bit (hell make it cost meter or something lol). I'm not too familiar with Kabal's Damage output. So I can't really test if he's got a damage boost.
Kung Lao EX Hat Throw loop is indeed gone. Kung Lao can no longer do tons of j.3/4 x "Dive Kick" loops in corner.
Liu Kang Has armor on EX Flyfing Kick and EX Bycicle Kick.
Reptile Reg. Elbow Dash is more punishable on block. EX Acid Hand has armor (hello Gief )
Quan Chi can surely move immediately after you hit with trance. Jump in combos are free now, after trance. And you can j.1 > 1,1, x Sky Drop > into mixup just fine.
Quan Chi fun 1.02 Staple combo:
j.1 > b+2,1 > dash > b+2,1 > dash > b+1,1 x Trance > step > j.1 > 2,1 x "XRAY" 53% Midscreen
Sonya can still MS cancel off her normals (example: d+4 x Military Stance). Its just a tad slower than before. I'm sure you can be interrupted mid dash cancel, thus preventing the block infinite. EX Arch Kick has armor.
Jax can cancel reg. ground pound.
Sindel flight infinite removed. Can special move cancel off 3 and f+3.
Cyber Sub-Zero 1,1,1 x Freeze no longer works period in the corner (so, at all). Opponet is able to block it now. Still able to do BIG DAMAGE reset combo though. Cyber Subz still isn't able to easily dash 3,4 / 3,3, move is overshadowed by Ice Bomb.
Sheeva Has new combo f+3,b+1. SHEEVA HAS HYPER ARMOR ON ALL EX COMMAND THROWS!!! FOR THE SHOKAN!!! ^_^

I'm heavily disappointed that (despite how cool the new flashy move looks) there's so many frames that make it quite punishable.
Its stupid to see all that Kiss mist flying around but not even hurting the opponent until she actually blows it.

It means they powered up Sonya, or at least that particular move. If she gets hit while doing her enhanced arch kick she'll take the damage, but won't be knocked down, meaning she'll still do the move even if she got hit.
Regarding her kiss... I haven't played with Sonya, but I've played with Sindel and her scream seems very similar if not identical in properties to Sonya's kiss. Even though it "takes forever" for the move to come out, you can still combo into it. It's one of those moves that you would prefer doing mid-combo, not as a combo starter, even though sometimes you can surprise your opponent like that as well.
To buff up (power up) her arch kick with armor was kinda logical since Sonya doesn't have a teleport and her arch kick is the closest thing to a teleport move and her best way of getting across the screen fast or escaping corners.

Basically makes her EX arc kick is now invincible to projectiles, And it will beat out several other counters. A good thing. :)

I thought he wasn't that impressive in his first match, but definitely started beasting in his 2nd and 3rd match. I'm so hyped for the Top8 showdown, there are some great players there, I hope Konqrr can handle them.
