I jumped on last night around 11 PM eastern time, and that is when I had to update the game, and trust me, the very first thing I did was go into training mode and try smokes 3,d1,2 ~ jump punch ~ 3,d1,2 ~ jump kick ~ air throw ~ otg smoke bomb, and the smoke bomb does not connect anymore.

Interesting--OTG Smoke Bomb is definitely gone on my version of the game (PS3). I'll try it again....maybe I was just very tired.
*UPDATE* I tried it again, and the OTG Smoke Bomb definitely doesn't work in my game. Try logging in again and seeing if it still works.

Yeah, so I just tried online, and unfortunately, it's exactly what I though:
Slightly improved, but coming from absolute trash, it's not enough to actually matter.
Unless of course this patch wasn't the one that had online fixes. So, it looks like NRS idea of "improved netcode" is to just disconnect from insanely laggy matches and just let you fight moderately laggy matches. This is also known as the same exact garbage netcode, but with matchmaking that disconnects. Yay, glad we waited for this.

So I see one other person has the "dysynchronizing" issue... i cant play one match without it saying dysynchronized on the vs screen or match no longer available in character select mode... waste of money if i cant play online

Smoke OTG bomb is 100% definitely gone, it was my b&b combo so I know I just didn't miss it 10x in a row.
I wish they had just nerfed the damage on it as it was an awesome looking combo and so fun to do. Oh well.
The Sindel buffs are ok, B+3, F+2, Scream is much more lenient now, but scrubs still won't be able to pull it. 2,1 can be cancelled into scream now but it still doesn't combo.
LOL at Ermac, no 2, 2, lift, but he still does stupid easy damage. A bit more nerfing in the numbers there is needed.

The patch sucks major ass!!! I've tried playing multiple matches online after I downloaded it, and a good 90% of those matches were either disconnected before the match started, or during it. Many people have also reported this. Gotta say i'm really pissed as it's giving me a headache.

OTG = Off The Ground
There was a small window to hit an opponent with the smoke bomb after an air throw while they were still on the ground. It looked really cool but since it wasn't meant to work that way the damage output was 44% with no meter using it in his standard b&b combo.
Like I said, nerfing the damage by 10% would have been a better compromise since you couldn't loop it or anything like that, but oh well.

It seems that Sheeva is more a boss character now
She falls more quickly in the ground after a combo, just like Goro and Kintaro.
Some of her moves has Armor and the damage that she suffers is small.
I tried the Mileena combo that i said above and dont connect like it does against other characters.

I played online a little bit ago, and I got one desynchronized error, but after that I was fine. I didn't notice any difference in Kano's up ball. It still comes out insanely fast, but I didn't play anyone who used it effectvely to see if recovery was nerfed. Glad to hear that stupid bomb trap is gone. Can someone confirm if kung lao's spin is actually punishable now?

The low Re-Boomerang then dash in when they're stunned with B+1 to my combo. Apparently people can block that B+1 now even when they looked stunned. FML.
