too bad dlc isnt region free

My impression of her is she is pretty fast overall, but I find most of her specials seem to have some delay to them. I'm really liking her Make it Rain fatality, 2nd or 3rd best fatality in the game IMO.

Only had time for about twenty minutes of practice yesterday, but she's fun. Some of the combos people have found using her that require no meter are just damn wrong, so she's going to need some adjusting, and I'm thinking a damage nerf in the near future.

That blood ball seems to come out accidentally too often. I gotta watch my fingers.

I'm disappointed she's another one of Kahn's minions (how many top-level ultra-skilled stealthy assassins is his army composed of? Fully half at this point, it seems). Was hoping she'd foreshadow the Netherealm invasion. My only gripe so far.

Babality is adorable and wrong. Also, props to the mention of Erzabet Bathory in her Fatality trainer; I appreciate it when they're up front about their inspirations.

I was just playing a 2v2 match and my opponent was using a Jade/Skarlet Team. I was about to win when my opponent did Skarlet's Blood ball attack with very little health. It was really funny seeing her stab herself and then lose the match.

Just wanted to share that with you guys because I tought it was hilarious. Skarlet's fun btw.

Seriously? Shouldn't they be nerfing characters who have had the reputation of being OD spammy instead?

I got a chance to play as her at the arcade yesturday. She ended up bein better than I thought.

My brother to my surprise actually bought her and I came home from work and he's like "guess what the best team is" It's apparently Skarlet and Shang Tsung (who knew?)

I said I would keep an open mind for her gameplay


I will say her gameplay is fine and she's fast, but overall not really interested in playing as her though, I had a ladder run and stuff with her, she's just not my cup of tea. My overall thoughts on Skarlet as a package deal in a general sense(gameplay, design, story etc.) is meh, though many seem to really enjoy her which is great and I'm happy they have a new character to brawl it out with and more females are welcome


Funny moment I had fighting Shang Tsung on the ladder, I picked Stryker and was doing pretty well and he morphed into Skarlet and started throwing the blood ball twice and I blocked it both times and when they said "Finish her"

I was like "da hell? I didn't even touch him" Then I realized what happened and lol'd.

Wow, you really gotta compare Skarlet (whom is female), to male characters. Shameful!

Indeed if we do get Tanya in August, she's gonna be more kickass than Skarlet! As of now, I don't have Skarlet but, I will soon and using her as my puching bag.

Jarek is the only one who was bleh, but i actually liked Jarek in MKA, The lasso was pretty cool and unique.

Also I understand every says Post MK3 because it was the end of the 2d era in MK. But I felt MK4/gold was still a good game(n64 as a whole rocked), Deadly Alliance was the game that started the slippery downward slope.

Boring design, gameplay style should've went to Sareena, wasted spot, should never make another appearance etc.

on topic, i bought the skarlet dlc, but I haven't had the chance to try her out.

Once I do I will give my opinion on her.

She is fucking amazing!

I believe they did well with skarlet, she is very fast and i am sure once people get use to her, she is gonna be one combo spamming femme fatal.

The only question I have about here is her special move where she throws a ball of blood that drains health from her. How does that work to her benefit, if she is losing health and hitting the other person with it? Does that blood start to drain health on the opponent slowing or is it just a regular projectile hit?

Because I just dont get the idea of reducing your own health for a mere projectile hit. I rather just use the other projectiles that dont require costing me my health bar reduction.

I never use that projectile. Sure, it does a lot of damage (15%), but it's too risky.

If it's blocked, you just pissed away 7% of your life. And if you accidentally do it when you're weak, you can risk K.O.-ing yourself.
Besides, it arcs up and it's kind of slow.

I agree that the Blood Ball is rather useless. It's a neat idea, but it just doesn't do enough to be worth using. NRS said it would be worth it, but I really don't see it.
