That highly looks like Smoke - the loincloth flap, the badge(?) in the chest, gray mask, gray V-garment but broken - there aren't much options. I'm quite surprised that they decided to design Smoke out from his ninja look, unlike with the other ninjas, experimenting Smoke again. Smoke has always seemed to be under experiment and usually the experiments have gone to the worse direction (more recently the Fog Smoke).

At least Smoke will obtain a unique look like Rain and Ermac did and he looks like he could potentially indeed take control of the Lin Kuei clan now, he has that grandmaster look. I hope that the design of Smoke we saw was still under development. Did you notice the dark gray cloud around his head in the picture? For some reason that seems to have the same shape the dragon sketch has. Coincidence? I hope that Smoke will have another costume with full ninja garments i.e. the ninja hood on top of this though this will probably grow on me too.

I think its Smoke, but i dont dont think his clothes are gonna look like that. THAT looks like damage modeling. The real thing is prolly not gonna be all shredded and cut up.

If that is Smoke it is kinda new and risky but I could like it. I just hope that he will have an alt with the full mask and hood. I would not even mind if they just gave him a classic alt like the other ninjas got.

Personally, I think that's Smoke - and I love his new look. Long hair is great and adds some diversity to the roster. Be nice to have a reveal soon.

yeah, sounds as an intriguing stuff. Could be Smoke, or alternate Black Raiden, or maybe a small chance for being something not related to MK at all (maybe they catch that NRS employee picture while he was working in other project , at the same time working on MK ?) , lol !

The concept visual look is not bad, is just .... exotic, if it's really for Smoke. Anyway, Smoke deserves to have an own differentiated apperance , just like Ermac and Noob are totally different of all others ninjas .... so, there is a might chance that Smoke really can come diferent this time .....

What it's weird is this "sword" this model seems to have it .... in the leaked files, Smoke has not none special move involving a sword, so, maybe just like Scorpion, that uses his sword only in combos attacks and fatalities ?

IMO : this concept can work for Smoke, but instead of him, just imagine putting purple color there instead of grey, and give that long hair a black color and bingo ! You could have a very cool Rain concept !!

Don't get me wrong. He may look really cool up close... but I'm tired of the gimmicks! When they gave Frost blue hair, I was like, "Why? Were they worried we'd forget she'd have ice powers if they didn't name her after ice, give her ice hair, and put her in a Sub-Zero suit?"

I just want Smoke to have a set identity without relying on superficial gimmick qualities. A white ninja doesn't need white hair.

Anyway, I don't want everything to be that obvious either. He could even have a turban like an animus of a lantern. But to me he looks like he is indeed Smoke.

agreed temp. i think if theres 1 character that SHOULD keep his umk3 look its smoke. yes there should b a few minor changes to keep it modern but not sonthin so odd as removing the hood/mask, and as ^said, the whole deal w the white hair. characters with long flowing light colored hair tend to b a bit fem...thats the last direction nrs need to take Smoke in. besides, assuming the voice leaks were correct(which they hav been so far) the voice they have lined up for smoke wouldnt really fit this look imo . i for 1 am hoping its not smoke...but if it is, im prayin it was an early build at the time of the pic.

Why are all of you freaking out?!?! If this is smoke I think its sweet. What alot of people seem to not understand is that their trying to stray away from the original pallete swapped ninjas.

Why do all of you what the game to be full of ninja look a likes?!??! If this is smoke then he looks pretty cool. And just because he has long white hair doesn't mean he is automatically Raiden from MGS.

This smoke looks young( - the grey hair because its to look "smokey") and full of life, like he's gonna go out and change this story into something awesome, this plus his moves sound awesome.
