So Mileena and Jade are allowed to look like princesses in MKD, neither of their costumes in MKD say "assassin." Neither of their costumes in 2011 say "assassin" either." But Kitana the actual princess finally gets costumes that reflects that she is a princess and it doesnt suit her character?

At this point of the timeline, Kitana works as an assassin for Shao Kahn. Therefore they should dress in their assassin attires. And I don't find Kitana's outfit to look like her assassin attire. It's too pretty, so to speak.

In MKD, Edenia is free and the girls no longer works for Shao Kahn. Now they can dress any way they wish. Jade represents the beauty of a free Edenia while Mileena represents the royalty of Edenia - as she is imposing as Kitana to trick the Edenian army!

It's not that I do not like Kitana's outfit in this game, I just find it inappropriate when considering her role at this point of the timeline.

You're right...between Jade and Mileena who have both been pallette swaps in the past Kitana should choose to borrow from the one who has awesome costumes! So it makes sense... Oh wait...Mileena dyed Kitana's costume purple in MK2. What game was it that Kitana dyed Mileena's costume blue again??

I have been waiting for these costumes for Kitana ever since MKDA.

I dont think Kitana or Mileena stole each others costumes. Since technological advancements have allowed NRS to design them differently, Kitana and Mileena have not had the same costume. Except for MKD when Kitana had a blue version of Mileena's costume, which I think was just because it was for ending cameos and they didnt feel the need to design a completely new costume for Kitana, just for a couple scenes in other's endings.

I've never had a problem with 2011 Kitana. I like her main fine. I'm not nuts about her alt, but I think thats more because of her face than the costume. And because it's incredibly similar to her main.

But beyond that I'm cool with them.

But I'm cool with her MK2 look too. I like the new klassic.

It's all good.

They look kinda boring. I like their new costumes better.

Have you thought about doing side by sides of the kostumes from the original 3 games vs the MK9 Klassic Kostumes renders?

So, I finally played with the MK2 retro looks for Jade and Kitana and they really aren't that impressive.

However, it is definitely (and permanently) my main costume for Kitana.

Overall: they look cool and they are fun. love the nostalgia they bring.
