Personally I want Reiko. I think from a design and story point he's alright, but really the reason I've always loved the Character is how he plays. His special moves set him up for awesome combos and it was a blast to play him in MK4 or MKA.

I think with his special's in this game he would have some absolutely sick kombos and he would be fun as hell to play.

I don't really get the Tanya love though.

Sharing a heritage and sharing moves and powers are two quite different things when it comes to a game. Backstory and all that stuff is cool but at the end of the day I would want a diverse experience while playing the game. I will go get myself some comics if diverse backstory was my prerogative.

I know that there's a big difference between moves and heritage, but you do know that they can completely create new and different moves for ice wielders so that neither plays the same way at the other?

I can think of plenty of different ways to make Frost totally different than the two Sub-Zero's we have here, it's quite possible and easy to do so.

DON'T give her any of her moves back that she had and plop in a few that would make her unique instead of having moves that were once Sub-Zero's that were kinked a bit.

And the only reason why I mention that if we have Tanya in this game, that's six Edenians, if memory serves me correctly, a heck of a lot of people complained that if the so-called "Tremor" were to make an appearance, that would be another ninja, if "Cyborg Smoke," came into the picture, that's another cyborg... Some people sort of complain that there's too much of characters, and I wanted to point that out saying, "Hey, if Tanya makes it in this game, that's already six Edenians in one game!"

That was basically my point with my first post. I don't have any issues with her, I like Tanya, but I just think shoving one more Edenian is too much, especially since this game doesn't even talk about Edenia that much.

I don't want to see anymore MK4 and beyond characters. But since there just HAS TO BE one more DLC, I'd prefer it to be some one like Bo Rai Cho since he can tie-in with training Liu Kang and whoever the hell else there is.

There's quite a profound difference between three characters that wear the same colour and all manipulate ice working there moveset, and sic characters that simply come from the same realm.

They might all be edenians but gameplay wise they couldn't really be more different. Between them the utilise fire, water, sai's, fans, staffs, banshee abilities and even superpowered hair!
None of them look much like each other either if you discount Mileena and kitana, although they're not even that similar anymore.

I dont see how another character can be legitimately discounted simply because she's edenian.

I can get the design point, but people saying they like his story (in some cases even claiming that Reiko is important to the story over other fighters) is just beyond comprehensible for me.... One could argue about the awesomeness of his moves... I did like the helmet charge they gave him in Armageddon as I felt it was a nice throwback..

I would love him if they went with the mini-kahn idea in terms of moves that someone on this forum suggested, but other then that I'd rather have a tons of other characters making the dlc que before him...

Funny enough some people were saying Reiko should have been in before Rain (This was before Rains anouncement) claiming that the game was packed with ninja's already.... Ironically if anyones a ninja it's Reiko >_>

Checked it. MKD bios. Being homesick is not tragic. More or less, Tanya is allright as I said, the problem lies with a goon with a girls. Here is a fun fact: the term sub-zero in Japanese is Reika. That would sow some mild headscratching. Though Nippon would probably take a genderbent character better than most.

She wants to return to the homeland that she betrayed, but for that same reason she cannot return... I find that rather tragic. You try confront real-life traitors of of their home-nations who has been exiled and then come and tell me that it isn't tragic.

There's a difference between tragic and sympathetic.

Tanya`s good. Her role as a traitor to her realm is getting eclipsed by Rain performing virtually the same function, so I wouldn`t be opposed to seeing greater emphasis on her desire to just do whatever`s necessary for her to survive. As to gameplay, she`s a cracked-out mix of Akuma, Cammy and Chun-Li, so there`s my SF love represented. She`s a joy to play.

Reiko was a ten-year argument that evolved into a running joke about a helmet fetish. I could do without him, and would prefer to see Fujin any day. He had some nice moves though; I miss the quick swirly teleport, ninja star cluster and wheel kick.

I want my yellow ninja girl! Her story was pretty good I got a thing for traitors lol so I guess that's why I want her so bad I like her more than I do jade and most of the other females

I love Tanya so much and want her in because before skarlet she was really the only other female villain besides Mileena that had appeal. I would like to see how'd they react to each other rather it would be an alliance or a subtle rivalry for power.

Would also just like to see where and what she is doing in this retold story and have her character begin to develop early.

And her appearance. Tho she may not be technically classified in the ninja/assassin category with Mileena/Kitana/Jade, I still consider her such because her costumes are very similar to their but in yellow, Shares her main rivalry with one of them (jade), and gave a move to Khameleon along with them.
She has one of the best appearances of any of the females, would love to see her evolve in this game.

As for Reiko, I think he's a cool character and would welcome him, but only after Tanya. He';s kinda like the female Tanya in terms of appearance (black, dark eye makeup, outfit similar to ninja but without masks.)

I know, and I respect you for wanting Frost. However, you do come off as hypocritical when saying you don't want another Edenian, just because people say they don't want another "whatever", and then you want a Sub-Zero clone.

I get your point, I really do, but it just puts you in a bad light.
