I searched through this thread and gathered votes that clearly defined five choices for DLC, 333 votes total. The number one choice is not a surprise, but it's interesting that there are four other characters that seem to stand out above the rest.

I have the data saved, so if you all decide to continue voting, I can update the chart whenever I have the time. Assuming that our votes will have a substantial effect on the final choices of DLC (according to Ed during the GDC interview), I'll send the chart to him at some future time.

Now I'm not asking you to predict who you think the first DLC characters will be, but who gets your vote (or your top 5 votes, as the thread title indicates)?

Maybe an early era MK character that didn't make the cut like Cyber Smoke, Rain or Motaro (who knows, these guys couldl all still make it), maybe an early era MK character that's never been in an MK title as a playable fighter like Kia, Hornbuckle or Tremor?

What about the later MK character's from MK4 and beyond? Most are convinced that Quan Chi will be in but who else would you like to see get the modern MK makeover and transfer from 3D to 2D?

Maybe there are other characters from the MK lore that you want to see like Jerrod, Gorbak etc? How about characters from the MK movie like Art Lean or Master Boyd?

Or maybe you want to go outside the MK universe and pick a character from a different fighting game or a different series? Heck, maybe you want an ALL NEW MK character that's never been created before?

Well, since you asked:

5. Nitara (her vampiric moves in a modern 2D game would be EPIC, though I kinda wish they'd lose the wings. Maybe save them for when she does aerial moves, but otherwise they look a bit weird)
4. Fujin (I'd love to see him on the new graphics engine and his moves could be phenomenal. I think that he could be a great foil to Raiden. You know, the powerful character that doesn't know what's going on, as opposed to Raiden that knows the future already)
3. Kira (I REALLY want the MK team to redeem this character. She has a cool look and a cool background, now give her some awesome moves please!)
2. Kai (Give him another makeover and give him a real depth to his move set and he could be one of the best characters. I know that sounds like it's asking a lot, but I think that he's an awesome character that has never even remotely been able to realize his full potential)
1. Mavado (C'mon! He could be the Omega Red of MK with those extendo rope... things. Take away the hook swords, give him his own moves and he could OWN)
