Someone on TYM mentioned that it looks like Kano was knocked down, then Kung Lao's hat was set to spin in a circle around him, chopping up his limbs and head. That blue is just the trail from the hat moving quickly.

I'm thinking character unique brutalities that POSSIBLY involve quick time presses for it to be completely pulled off. Brutalities could be really cool if they make each characters unique, like Sub-Zero would utilize his ice powers in a way, Goro would use all four arms, Raiden could incorporate his electricity/lighting powers in his etc.

I really hope this shot isn't heavily edited. My first thought was that this is Goro's introduction scene in story mode. I liked him in the MKSM intro a lot. The way he stepped out of the shadows and all.

But to set a dark toned scene like that as the introduction to The Shokan of Shokans? Eerie growls echo around you. All the while he's stepping into the light, slowly revealing every inch of himself, bit by bit. Taking notice of his battle scars, his scales, and all of his buffed arms until he's fully visible...and then you realize you're fucked.

Baraka will be revealed tomorrow or a new character. I don't think they'll reveal another "dead" character so soon. I just have a feeling it's baraka though, could be wrong.

Why is everyone assuming the character reveal in this video is a female? Did I miss something?

All I've seen was a tweet from Shaun Himmerick to "look out" for some females in the upcoming video...that doesn't sound like she's the star of the trailer.

It could just be like the Human Sektor and Cyrax reveal from MK9 when they were first spotted in the background of a story mode trailer (I think), not in their own reveal trailer.
