OK, time for some contribution:

- it might be me, but I really had a hard time telling people apart, do not know if it'sbecause my hardware, or something else. I generally have no problem with other podcasts.not saying you should stop sounding alike.

-generally to bounce stuff, I advise you, SERIOUSLY advise you to pick up Sub-Zero-7thif you want someone for Razorto discuss stuff.

-never-ever be afraid of what you say /or write/. If you want this to be a regular thing, do not pull punches. You are at the start, and it's like writing. Write what you want and how you want. That is the purpose of afirst draft.

Same goes here, these are your first episodes so to speak, if this is going to be on -let's say- episode 60, then by that time you have formed what you want. You are a beginner, so what? I do not know how to write, yet I am at my second publication right now, damn right I am a beginner. That only means I can only move upwards. There is no honor in not trying. But you did. Here is an imaginary cookie for you four.

- the lenght was looong, hour or one hour and a half at MAX. The human mind pays attention for about 10minutes top anyways.

- do not sweat it, being natural is a godsend these days when everone and their mother is doing some gimmick.

- where did you get the music? I love the MK1 ost?

- shadaloo, speak more often, softly and carry a big gun.

I do not know if anyone said it before, but thank you guys.

-Personally, I don't think any of us sound the same, but regardless, I'm sure this is an issue that will be solved as you continue to listen and hear how each individual talks/sounds over time.

-We are going to be the 4 mainstays. Everyone was chosen for a reason. I wanted a good variety of expertise and information being presented, so no group of fans were left out in terms of someone they could relate to, as well as potentially learn from. However, we will be having guests on pretty regularly, only 1 guest on at a time though, as 5 people would get quite hectic to manage. So by all means, if you have a way to contact him, he's certainly welcome on!

-The length of the podcast is going to be a bit of a personal taste sort of issue. I myself enjoy longer podcasts, ranging from an hour and a half to 2 and a half hours. I work long hour shifts, so it's nice to have something to listen to to make the time go quicker. It also enables for a more relaxed, casual, in-depth discussion without me having to step in and cut tangents short, such as the Shinnok one in Episode 1. There's also the fact that there's at least 4 people talking and giving their opinion on each topic, so that makes for longer episodes in general. However, with that said, the first couple of episodes were longer due to how much we were trying to cover.

In the future, it'll likely be shorter due to less content being covered at once. Our goal is around an hour and a half to two hours. If this is too long for you personally, I'd recommend listening in sections, as dictated in the time cue's in the description, or listening with it in the background while you do other activities(working, driving, cleaning, working out, playing games, browsing the web, schoolwork, art etc.). This is not something you should be giving your complete undivided attention to, nor does it need your other senses beyond your hearing. Please don't think you need to stare at the youtube video to enjoy this. tongue

-A while back there was an HD remastered MK game in the works by the MK community on TRMK, until it got shut down by WB. DjangoDrag created the remixed music for the game. I wanted the MK1 select screen music for the intro, and Razor suggested his version. We got his permission, and thus it's what we are rolling with. You can find his stuff here: http://www.mortalkombatonline.com/content/forum/showmessage.cds?id=151113

Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it very much. I've said it before in regard to Predator's post, but this is the feedback we can really use to better things for everyone going forward.

Excellent guys! After so many years, finally it's here :)
I've been thinking myself of starting a MK podcast, now I don't have to.
Cheers! And keep up the good work and try to get Ed on the show sometime! ;)

Thank you guys so much for the support and positive feedback. I was really looking forward to doing this podcast, so it's awesome to see such an overwhelmingly positive response.

Definitely. As we cover more characters, I'll try to explicate some of the lingo. Most of MKO already follows the lore to an extent, but some of the FGC stuff is still very foreign. I'll do my best to clarify any terms/techniques.

I was doing the same thing, lol. I thought you sounded good, though. I kept changing my thoughts mid-sentence, lol.

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that we're all such chill guys. We'll probably cover more controversial stuff in the future, so disagreement is inevitable, especially when we start talking about the newer characters. I can't see anything getting too heated, though. It's not really in my nature.

Most probably, even though: shitty speakers.

Cool. I only have Tgrant's contact, and a five to seven yearold e-mail from Libra. Doubt he is around lurking.

Length is not a problem to me, not right now. Two hours is more than enough I think to cover all of you.

I know I will have to bust out the popcorn with Razor around there. Will be keeping attention to you then.

When can we expect the next episode of this fangasmic voyage?

Mick is getting things caught up, so we'll be more in sync going forward. He should have it up on the MKO channel, hopefully in the next day or two. Episode 3 will be coming Wednesday/Thursday.

I'm looking forward hearing where this podcast will go next. You guys covered the returning characters, I'm guessing the next will be the new characters, and then what? The livestream will probably give you some new info and then it's just speculation? Either way I'm looking forward to hearing more and seeing who else you'd get onto the podcast.

Thanks.

2nd episode covers the new characters. It's almost as long as the 1st one surprisingly. 3rd episode will cover the news on Wednesday, and likely our most wanted characters etc. Not set in stone yet.

I'm surprised how many people like hearing my voice. I've always kinda hated how I sound. "Topher Grace impersonator" ain't a great sound for a 30 year old man, but if people are digging it, then I guess who am I to complain?

Regarding length: I totally understand the people who would prefer an hour, hour and a half...we're hoping to cut it closer to that in the future. Personally, I like 'em long I guess. I dunno what the average is for other people's podcasts, the only one I listen to is the SuperBestFriendcast every week, and they regularly exceed three hours, but they do talk about ALL the news in gaming for that week...

a T-Rex and Red episode.

Sumac can barely even TYPE in English. I'm sure hearing him speak it would go so well, lol.

F'in awesome. Seriously, I'm loving the hell out of this project. It's nice to hear some people talking MK gaming that actually know what the hell they're talking about and know the proper history as compared to when other podcasts like IGN and others cover it.

I'm with you on the length, I tend to enjoy the longer podcasts because it generates better discussion. I think the Bombcast comes to mind in that regard.

I really enjoyed this! As new info has been slow to arrive the timing of this seems perfect. I think everyone did a good job expressing their opinions and bringing their expertise to the table. I'm probably most familiar with Razor on the forum, so it was pretty cool to hear his thoughts...all that MK knowledge!

I'm looking forward to future episodes for sure. Would love to see Icebaby, Casselman and/or Chrome in the mix. Great job gentlemen!

Seriously tho, great job guys. And Im sure it will only get better! It was much better than a lot of other pod's first episodes Ive heard, including ones that Ive done. Haha

Im about to dive into episode 2. Im always a fan of "tightness" in a pod, but I wasn't really put off by any lulls. Can't wait till my guest spot! haha

@blackcyborg:

Having the raw MP3 on itunes is definitely appreciated although not everyone uses it. It's cool though I'll just keep converting it for myself as I don't use anything apple.

Possible questions for the panel:

- Most anticipated character to return?

- Guesses at who the "big bad" is ?

- Favorite / least favorite character revealed so far?

- First game entry into the series?

- Where would you like the story in MKX to go?

- Guesses at what the "persistent online mode" is?

And as a suggestion maybe some sort of weekly "game" "award" or other community gimmick. Other than that have fun with it.

Took me two days to finish listening to it cause of the length but I enjoyed it. Good job everyone. You covered story, appearance, gameplay, and fatalities. I kind of wish you had given your two cents on the X-ray moves as well but thats a minor nitpick.

Looking forward to the next podcast

I really like this podcast idea. I wasn't able to watch it all in one go since I had to get some rest for the next work day. It was cool to use the MK1 music for the podcast, and it's nice to have gotten a shout-out from a couple of members in this thread. I would love to be able to be on one of your episodes, but I'm not sure about how timing would work. While I may not say too much on the forums these days, I'm still here, so to speak. I'll check out the other episode tomorrow. EDIT: To Shadaloo: Your voice is fine. For some odd reason, I kept thinking of Sean Patrick Flannery when hearing your voice. To RazorsEdge701: Your voice is fine as well though it's not what I expected. Then again, I don't think people would expect me to sound the way that I do.

Thanks for listening. Though I don't know when exactly, we'll get to X-Rays for sure. I imagine when we starting talking about Fatalities and Gore as its own topic, we'll most likely go further in depth on X-Rays. On top of the aesthetic analysis, there's also the gameplay utility we have to cover as well, so we'll have a lot of ground to tread.

Hard to say when we'll talk about it, though. Nothing is quite in stone yet when it comes to topics.

We understand scheduling can be kinda crazy, so we'd do our best to give everyone an adequate heads up. We'll try to let you know far enough in advance so we schedule something that works for everyone. If no time works out, we can always try again in the future when scheduling gets easier.

Hey, I just wanted to give my feedback. I thought the podcast was awesome. I like that you have a basic structure to the overall conversation and I'm sure you guys will improve it as you go. However, I like how this is a pretty laid back discussion about all aspects of the game. I'm more into the fgc stuff, but it's awesome to listen to the experts on MK's story as well. I can't wait for more tbh.

Holy crap, this podcast was great! I'd enjoy hearing this go as long as the conversation takes you guys. Hour, two hours, more, it's all good as far as I'm concerned.

I really enjoyed listening to you guys talk MK, and don't give your voices a second thought. You all sounded both natural and in to the subject matter and that's what people care about. You all came through great.

Also, I knew that you guys had a strong depth of knowledge when it came to MK, but listening to you really breaking stuff down the way you did and having all of that info (present and past)... I was definitely impressed.

I'll be curious to hear future podcasts and your opinions on info as it becomes available. I hope that you guys take on Mojo's ideas in this thread, as those seemed really good to me.

It'd also be nice to see a list segment at the end where one of you guys give a top 5, your reasoning and then you all talk about that. Top 5 3D era characters, top 5 non-standard game modes, top 5 most bothersome retcons etc. It'd be cool to hear what you guys think and why. Just a small suggestion.

Like Chrome said, it was slightly difficult to tell who was speaking at times, though I agree that's an issue that'll undoubtedly solve itself in time.

Definitely pumped to hear the next one. Thanks, guys!

Thanks for the great feedback Baraka, we'll definitely be doing all of those top 5 lists and more at some point or another. Those types of things could carry a full episode with the way we like to analyze every aspect. So they won't all be back-to-back, as that might get a bit overdone, but we'll definitely do them over time.
