Ep 11 felt like a lot of retread for me, personally, and I had to skip through the first hour or so since I was wanting to hear the Kung Lao discussion. I'm fairly certain that the problems with MK9/continuity in general have already been covered at length on the pod so yeah, just seemed redundant.

What variations would you like to see for Reptile ?, and what do you think of my variations for Reptile? (podcast)

My ideas for variations for Reptile is a

Tongue Variation - He uses his tongue for spins, jabs, pokes, sweeps, parry's, counters, grabs, throws etc. His tongue would be a versatile weapon similar to Scorpions kunai.

Evolve/Devolve Variation - He can become more reptilian by evolving moving slower but doing more damage, and while in his devolved state he moves faster but does less damage. So you can mix it up while during the fight. For those who like his MKDA will enjoy his more evolved state while fans of his mk2011 can enjoy his other devolved state. This way everyone's happy. Could make for some interesting combos.

Ultimate Offense Variation - His scales absorb damage so later his projectiles can have more force, range, and can even camouflage making him hard to fight.

Do you think Reptile will become his own person or do you think he will become a grunt for Shinnok or whoever? (podcast) I hope he's like his MK2011 arcade ending were he's a beast and his fellow species fears him. Tired of him being a grunt/punching bag.

Didn't realize there was an episode up for Kung Lao yet, here are my thoughts on how I would like for the story to turn.

I feel like the way they're marketing the story right now is terrible. We're given info in fight dialogues and character reveals, and reveal some in the comics, but at the moment everything just feels like a jumbled mess. No one knows what year it actually is yet, how far they are into the 25 years, etc. I feel like they're doing this to intentionally confuse the fans, and then when we finally get our hands on the game it will all make sense. I'm pretty confident there will be some inconsistencies that happen and not everything will fall in to place. One of the biggest things i'm worried about is the shock value as well. There was a ridiculous amount of this present in MK9, and I feel like the story could have been a lot better had they focused on actually pursuing a closer storyline to the original games instead of just altering certain events that make this timeline more dramatic or different. (Cyber Sub instead of Smoke is a big example of this).

I wasn't going to say anything, but this has been stuck in my head all day. So pardon me for exorcisong the demon.

My dad passed away about a week before Christmas. It was unexpected and devastating and I honestly have no idea when I'll be able to get over it.

I say that because I'm having a very hard time putting myself in the mindset where it would be okay under any circumstances to repeatedly insult another forum member's dead parent the way he did.

Whether he meant it or not, whether he was trying to prove a point about the lax moderation of a video game fan site or the fact that he's a good guy who erred or he's indispensable because he really knows a lot about this video game series we all enjoy, yeah, I dunno.

Just reading what he originally posted... I was shaking. To think that's okay, or justifiable or easily dismissed, no matter if that's not who he really is or whatever...

I wish that I could put myself in the place that some of you seem to be in, because I think it's a good place, an understanding place, a forgiving place. I wish that our perspectives aligned. I REALLY do.
