Havik, not so sure. I also never saw the appeal of the Chaosrealm-er, thus I'd pick any MK4 character over him. I want to see Reiko and Kai return.

MK4s roster wasn't that huge and didn't incorporate many new characters so I say bring 'em all back.


We certainly don't need the entire MK4 roster back. Most of them became forgettable for a reason.

I really hope so.

I rather have these awesome characters than the entire MK1 cast.

But I see it happen that none of these make it in and Fujin and Tanya end up being DLC.

I mean... there weren't many new characters in MK4 to begin with. Bring them back and redo them.
I'd rather them expend their energy reinventing those couple of characters than fooling around with everything after MK4.

For me, Mileena is the only "Klassic" kharacter I want in the game... I wasn ́t really excited for Kenshi in the beginning, but with the growing rumors about him in the game, made me wish him.

Why would him being DLC automatically mean he isn't in story mode? I've been kind of assuming that some characters would appear as NPCs in story mode and be available later as DLC. To give you an example: Sektor. He is someone that there are legit storyline reasons for him to be featured in this game's story but I can see him not making the cut for the initial roster. So he could appear in story mode as NPC and be available for download later.

I mean, it doesn't really, but I'm basing that off of MK9's DLC treatment. Considering MKX's story direction, it just screams Fujin's inclusion. More than the other MK4 vets, save Shinnok and obviously Quan. Raiden is in need of more "heroes", also has many many things he needs to be held accountable for and I'd love for Fujin to be the one who dishes the punishment.

I definitely see your point, I just can't shake the feeling that Fujin surpasses all when it comes to relevance at this point. And I'll be shocked if he's not initially included.

I won't be surprised, but it'd be the perfect chance to give Fujin some much needed development, and Earthrealm is probably going to need a new protector by the end of MKX.

I would like that, It would be a refreshing change.

I have always viewed Fujin as a lesser god to Raiden, but I hope he is depicted as a stern powerful god who reprimands and scolds Raiden for his Idiocy.

Yes! Stern being the key word for me. Including situations that he has to deal with mortals. Raiden has always struck me as a "protector/confidant", whereas Fujin could be the "no bullshit" kind of player. Fujin shows up, and you just know you done fucked up somehow. The only time I've seen Raiden so merciless is when he straight up killed Shujinko. (Which wasn't even canon...yet.) Oh, and maybe trying to sell out everyone's soul to the Netherrealm.

Either way, Raiden needs that comeuppance and speaking in terms of development, Fujin would benefit most from being the executioner.

He could be banished to the netherrealm, He could be banished from the title of protector of earthrealm

I have a sense that Fujin would step in, rebuke Raiden and take his Title. And Raiden will become a quasi-neutral character.

Having Drahmin in this list is pointless, as he's not going to be in the game. Also, to answer the question in the tweet, I don't rank Fujin highly at all, as he hasn't done anything noteworthy in the series.

I wanted to see Drahmin in this game. It was the perfect opportunity for him to improve the image he left with MKDA.

Yes and no. MK4 Jarek was a Kano rip-off that didn't make too much sense, since Kano was still alive. The only difference is that Jarek sided w/ Erealm whereas Kano probably would have sold out Erealm again.

MKA Jarek was really individualised. Once they gave him a unique moveset with ropes he stopped sucking, and was in fact a good fighter. He's got potential to be redeemable as Stryker and others did.

Yeah, tbh Jarek was a pretty shitty character in Armageddon as well, talking gameplay wise.

I would love for Fujin to be the one to tell Raiden he has wronged. I never viewed him as a lower god than Raiden, just one that has been utilized in the games way less than he should have been. There was seriously no reason for Fujin not to be in Deadly Alliance, really. I feel like that story would have been much more interesting if they had him alongside Raiden, or even in Deception had he been there with Raiden to fight the DA.

I stick by what i said. I could really kick ass with Jarek. He had a few long-range tools, as well as many close-up options. The only thing i wasn't too keen on was him 'borrowing' Ermac's axe moves, but that happened a ton in MKA with lots of characters anyway. He looked great, his story made sense, I'm sorry, i just don't see the sucking.

Either way, the new timeline could use some Erealm defenders, even ones with evil intent.
