Yeah this.

Two dudes that love MK are working for the company that makes MK games. They love their jobs and I think it shows in the Kasts. They just have a fun time playing the game and talking about it.

I've enjoyed every Kast and have always laughed with these guys.

Just watched the entire thing. Holy shit, best Kast ever.

- Erron Black's X-ray = orgasmic. Name written on the bullet? Fucking brilliant.
- Liu Kang's X-ray is just as epic. It's like a 56 hit combo, that shit was insane.
- Shinnok's skeleton arms <3
- Kano's MK3 costume being back makes me a happy Kano fan. It's his best look and I am so glad they included in this game.

Also, where can I purchase that MKX hat. Want one!

Don't forget; Goro is a placeholder on the roster. So is the questionmark as far as I know.

Erron Black

His primary design isn't on my tops, but damn near everything else I enjoyed. His universal moves are fairly decent. That enhanced slide into the two overhead shots is my favorite. The caltrops is alright. They were right in saying the "stop run" is the best use for it.

Fucking X-ray. One of my favorites even if I only really love the beginning. The magic ricocheting bullet is strange. But that close-up and personalized bullet? Sold. The fatality was okay, but I think I'd like it more if I just understood what was going on.

Marksman variation will definitely be the first I try. I really dig that rifle shot. Love the professionalism in the execution.

Outlaw will be second. The added diversity in moves and combos will please me.

Gunslinger is meh, but overall I'm pretty excited about him. Of the new people I'm most excited to use so far, it'd be Kotal>Takeda>D'Vorah>Erron Black. Which is quite a few steps up from my initial prediction for him.

Liu Kang

Like his new design and the Jeet Kune Do stance. As usual, his specials didn't disappoint. The stun instead of knockdown Bicycle Kick is an improvement. The enhanced flip kick at the end of it is badass. His throw was nice.

Most excited for Dragon's Fire variation although the face paint was a little off-putting at first. Double-kick Flying Kick ftw and all them fireballs like woah. Truthfully, I'd been wondering for the longest time would they ever use his Triple Fireball shot from MKSM and this comes pretty close. Always liked that move.

Time will have to tell for the other variations. Flame Fists looks cool enough at first glance, but kind of upset they replaced the Bicycle Kick. If anything, that windy fist special should have just been the enhanced version.

Overall, I'm happy he's still a heavy combo oriented character. I'm all about them flashy combos. A great reason as to why I love his X-ray. The fatality is still bleh, but still can't wait to get my hands on him.

SHINNOK

Fuck yeah to the max. He looks so majestic and love that he hovers. Universal specials I like, although I really really wish that Skele-Hand grab from Necromancer was one of them.

Yeh, so he's got some essence of Shang, but if you consider the overall timeline, you could argue Shang had essence of him, even if we were introduced to Shang Tsung first. I'd like to think Shang might have picked some of these techniques up during his tutelage and studies of text about the dark arts. When you're an up and coming sorcerer, who better to learn from than a corrupt Elder God?

Imposter variation is a nice throw-back. SO glad that his special steal isn't timed for use and like how it can be comboed into again for another one. Knowing my playstyle, I think Bone Shaper might be the one that'll suit me best. Hard to fully determine though, because I really like Necromancer with all those Skele-Hand specials. So I guess that's the second one to try.

Great X-ray as well. Love the use of his MK4 Naginata on the last hit. Fucking ecstatic for Shinnok. My favorite from the stream that I'm most excited for. Been waiting a loooooooong time for his proper revamp.

~THOSE FACTION KILLS & VIDEOS!!! Decent narrator too.

~Sub-Zero's Bed of Spikes....hell to the yes. Shang's MK3 Fatality + Subby's MKT Fatality = Instant sell. Two of my favorites from those games.

~DLC being "fully fleshed out characters". You besta keep your word NRS.

~Easy Fatalities are a nice touch. Won't use them most likely, but it's great for beginners and to just have the open option in general since some fatalities are trickier than others. I know my friends will love this being the newbs that they are. I don't play online, so it won't be a problem there.

Fantastic stream overall. Glad Tyler finally won, but I didn't buy its sincerity. Can't wait for the next one! Hoping to see Jacqui so they can finally sell me on her.

- Liked the Sub-Zero bed of spikes, except maybe the last push, it doesn't look like that move would really force the opponent down, but good concept.

- Loved the sounds effects/foleys track.

- Erron Black is boss. Probably will use the rifle variation a lot. The caltrops stopping runners would let him zone non-teleporters at will. The fatality probably the worse part, but the guy is really cool. And using a tarkatan arm as a sword is fucking badass.

- Liu Kang is FAST. Reminded me of the first time we saw Kung Lao footage for MK9. And that anti blocking variation looks like a pain to deal with already!!

- Shinnokh looks cool, liked the bitchslap. The skeleton hands were goofy for my taste and impostor would require too much learning to properly adapt 24+ special moves to Shinnokh's combo (unlike Shang Tsung, Shinnokh needs to implement the moves into his own combos). Wonder what a mirror match will stal. The bone shaper variation looks really cool though.

- Great to hear about unlockable faction finishers the more you advance through a faction's ranks.

- TOTALLY LOVE the training room. As a hardcore fan of the X-Men, I can only think about the danger room when I see it. You can put holograms of any scenario and you also got alternative viewpoints of the fight.

No offense but....you actually liked something non-Kitana related? This is a rare occurrence indeed. lol Nah, I'm just fuckin' with ya. Glad to see we have another in the camp of enjoying Kano's MK3 costume. Was pretty hyped to see it.

Shinnok's bone scythe suddenly reminded me of Dante's scythe in that 2010 game Dante's Inferno. Anyone remember?...nobody?...huh...

Really annoying how they showed off Shinnok in the practice arena. If he has important story details in his intro won't players spoil it for themselves anyways if they play as him before finishing story mode? Assuming he's available from the very start that is.

Erron is a great new addition with fun special moves, great voice, cool design and a super smexy x-ray.

Liu Kang I never cared for, I'm not impressed with his looks, but his gameplay looks hella fun!

And then... Lord Shinnok!

They could have been a little less obvious with copying the people. You see 4 of the same people, 3 of which are close to each other.

Erron Black is pretty damn great. The Clint Eastwood/John Wayne voice, the scavenging for weapons, and of course that bad ass x-ray. So much style.

Liu Kang is Liu Kang. The one thing I did take away from his appearance is how much NRS has stepped up their animation game. Everything looked very fluid. Great stuff.

Shinnok looked pretty great. He's always had potential, it looks like NRS is finally making him live up to it.


But I think we all know what really mattered here...

I'm liking Kano's MK3 alternate, but the chances of his DLC Klassic Kostume being his MK1 outfit just increased a lot Hopefully he's bald in his Klassic Kostume too.

I think that was the Klassic skin for Kano. Except for the bald part then.
Hope Sonya has her MK3 outfit aswell.

Where are you guys seeing Kano's MK3 costume? I just see his MK9 costume.

I'm pretty sure the new Kano costume was his alternate, mainly due to it looking nearly identical to his MK9 main outfit, just like how Kitana's alternate is nearly identical to her MK9 main. There's no reason to show off DLC costumes yet. Trust me, this is Kano's alternate costume.

The MK9 costume is a revamp of his MK3 costume.

ERRON BLACK
Very impressed by this new character. At first I wasn't too sure about him but after watching the stream, I'm glad he's in the game. MKX had been lacking diversity with all the Special Forces characters, and Erron Black brings that missing factor. Will I main him? No, but I will use him a few times, and I think that his presence in MKX is what's more important. Some fresh air to MKX.

LIU KANG
For me, Liu was the highlight of the stream. His gameplay is insane. I'm definitely adding the Champion of MK to my list of characters I will master. The animations to his specials blew me away. You can tell that NRS spent A LOT of time with Liu Kang, as they should because this guy is up there with Subzero, Scorpion and Raiden. I cannot wait to find out the role Liu Kang will play in MKX. It seems like after the Netherrealm war, many heroes will be freed except for Liu Kang, Kitana and Kung Lao. Shit will hit the fan ????!

SHINNOK
The fallen elder god is back! I think his new design is pretty cool but his alternate shown in the story mode trailer is way better, so I'll be using this alternate costume instead. His XRAY is easily my new favorite. I think his gameplay is great and all his specials suit his arrogant style. I did have a problem with his Shang Stung 3 fireball special. NRS could have came up with something better for Lord Shinnok, but the animation for that special is fantastic. Overall, I'm incredibly excited that they have finally added Shinnok to the roster.

Erron Black, Liu Kang and Shinnok all bring diversity to MKX. The roster is looking superb with these new additions.


Someone mentioned MK3 Kano, did I miss something?
