So I was watching IGN's Rewind Theater and was looking in the background of the fight between Sindel/Cassie and Kitana/Kung Jin. Anyway the thought crossed my mind that they are in the tower featured in the WAY background of Crossroads.

Going by that dialogue it has to be Kotal. Reptile doesn't work for Mileena.

I know I'm late posting here, but I saw it the second it was online and wow... Story mode looks AMAZING. The little kid inside that remembers imagining the story for MK, expanded upon the character bios and endings of the first few entries is absolutely ecstatic right now. We might complain about this or that, but stuff like this makes me so happy to be a fan of this series.

Can't wait to see what's next!

I'm gonna have a bad feeling that a few characters will be brushed aside and have their stories shit on like Reptile or Baraka as punching fodder or stay underdeveloped.

Maybe I haven't heared the line probably...

But one question... We saw MK1 Raiden sealing or whatever Shinnok inside the amulet?

How has he lost this amulet? And why is he questioning it powers?

I'm assuming Raiden's stupid self hid it somewhere instead of doing away with it and it got stolen.

As a fan of Mortal Kombat since the early 90's, I can honestly say that I'm so proud of the direction MK is going.

These new characters look promising.

Cassie Cage is a great new addition. I'll admit, I was skeptical at first, but now I think she's a great new addition. She's actually being utilized. Unlike other new characters MK introduced in the previous years that were just boring.

Mileena is freaking dope. Introducing a strong new character like Kotal and integrating him with a classic like Mileena is incredible. I can't get over "You took my throne...and now you wish to steal my means of reclaiming it."

I'm just very happy.

...alright. Gonna go watch the trailer again.

The only thing that REALLY bothers me thus far is it's practically MK9 plus the newbies. If the only additions are Shinnok and Kenshi I'm going to be severely let down.

I'm so curious as to how this story plays out! I thought Kitana would be free of Quan Chi by the time Cassie and her team entered the fray, but since she's fighting them alongside Sindel, I'm guessing she's the new Scorpion. I wonder if they'll fight all the fallen warriors at that point of the story...

Haven't people said on here in the past that IGN are always critical toward MK and lean more toward Street Fighter, or something to that effect?

Pretty much. They've been pretty positive about MKX, but they've been very harsh and critical of MK over the years. I remember the tagline for their MK9 review being;

"Boob physics"

and then they just pointed out how MK isn't Street Fighter. They've always favoured Street Fighter over MK.

Yupp but sum of the newbies are interesting so. I think mk11 is where we will get the mk4-mka debuters

So heres a thought; what if all these cameos, since they have new models/outfits and such, are the unplayable people you can fight against in the Living Towers?

Johnny and Sonya are there. That scene's at the start of the 25 year timeline, if you're suggesting it goes back farther than that.

If a new MK game was released with only 6 fighters to choose from, IGN would have trashed the shit out of it. However, Killer Instinct launches with 6 characters, IGN gushes, then rates the game highly.

We all know the basic rule: you cannot spell ignorant without i, g and n.

And dare I say, I think she's more fully clothed than Kitana. That minor detail is really odd to me.
