I'm guessing his alternate costume is what he wore in the comic, especially considering that there's concept art of the very same costume.

I know but they said they weren't showing it in the preview for him because it had a storyline implication, if reptile was just going to be a mindless lackey again there wouldn't be any implications to worry about so there must be some sort of twist involving him.

Seriously, wow! Just.............wow!

I loved the MK9 story mode for tying up the first 3 games but this one looks like it'll knock it off right out of the park and into the next galaxy. It looks like a legit movie. Love the whole Earthrealm warriors vs. Outworld angle. That's what MK was initially about and they brought it big time. We don't need 63 different realms. Yet in the same breath, I feel like all these young Special Force kids being playable will make the roster a big generic. Oh well, I'm sure I'll learn to like it.

Kano is my favorite character so I'm stoked about him playing a seemingly big role here, at least bigger than just being Sonya's rival/Kahn's bitch. Unmasked Sub-Zero is badass! Scorpion just seems to be crammed in there, but then he always kinda is. It's weird, he's clearly Boon's favorite as well as casuals' but it seems like they can never find a decent storyline for him. Hopefully he's relevant here. Reptile being a punching bag.......quelle surprise! I feel bad for his fans, but let's just accept him as a running gag already. But Mileena being the main antagonist or at the very least having a big role.....thumbs fucking up! Not even that much of a Mileena fan, but I absolutely love the direction they are taking with her. They toyed with the idea of her taking over Outworld before, but it seems like it's finally coming full circle. Oh please, let her be the big bad who becomes some sort of steroid freak with the amulet. Either way, it def. looks like it's her time to shine. Still wondering what Kitana/Quan Chi/KungLao/Ermac's roles will be here, but embrace it at the same time.

I also LOVE that Cassie is seemingly the protagonist. I thought she'd be nothing but a novelty character being a mix of two former MK icons, but it seems like they are def. using her full potential here. I don't even care now if Johnny and Sonya are barely mentioned in this game. But in short, Cassie being the protagonist and Mileena being the antagonist and making it work?........? Shall I say, Girl Power?

I'm pretty sure Sindel, Rain and Shinnok are all cameos though because they all have appearances of prior games and are not that popular with casual fans.

@napalmxiphias you got it wrong. The Kamidogu Shujinko collected in Deception are different then the daggers. Confirmed by Kittleson writer of the MKX comic. Shujinko is still bumpiling his way through the realms in search of them the daggers are different and invoke blood magic.

Takeda just might be one of my new faves now.

Takeda is looking terrible imo. Kenshi needs to be in the game, would be shitty if Cage and Sonya are in as well as Cassie, yet Kenshi is replaced by his son.

When I was looking at the trailer in slow motion, I noticed Takeda had a mask on when he did a whip attack on Torr. He looks good to me. :D

I like that they've put new characters in, but they look very hipster for MK. I guess it'll grow on me. I'm really happy that Mileena is in the trailer????
Her look is really good. I do fear that she will be wiped out by Kotal Kahn, but I hope she stays around. Shao Kahn will be missed. Kotal(for me)doesn't look the role of a MK big baddie. Hope his alternate looks better than the turkey he's wearing on his head. Overall, I'm really excited for this one!

I'm surprised that there are no comments about the skull mask guy in the scene where Cassie's crew are imprisoned. I thought fir sure all fanboys would say it's Reiko/Nitara/Ashrah/Meat/Fujin/Mokap.

Hopefully, character related, there is still a lot more we do not know about and lots of DLC.

I will say, I am not thrilled with some of the lacklustre costumes. Hopefully Jacqi has a good alternate so her, Cassie, etc are not so close to just being head swaps.

And if Sindel is playable, I was hoping for her to look better than her MK9 counterpart. Both costume wise and graphically, I could barely notice a difference. There is still so much we do not know about this game. Hard to believe its release is so relatively close. We will soon see I guess....!

I forgot to mention it before but damn I'm liking this new Milleena. Not only the character design but she seems like someone who knows what their doing, she's not just some psychotic sex doll anymore. That and I'm glad rains back, I could care less about his story but in terms of gameplay he's really unique. Really excited to hear what his variations turn out to be.

... Still trying to understand the Love for Erron Black. He looks nice in game but the guys a cowboy lol, I'll be open minded to our cowboy ninja friend though. I think I just want an explanation, who the heck this guy is... and why is he a cowboy lol. Maybe some gameplay will turn me into a believer.

I think he looks rather silly to be honest. The armour Takeda wears makes his upper body proportionally too big campared to his legs. He looks decent when fighting Scorpion though.

I'm really hoping they are saving a few "heavy hitting surprises" for a later reveal. We still have just little over a month to go before release. Maybe a small few of the highly requested 3D era characters will put in an appearance in a trailer of their own, Reiko of course, amongst them. I'd love it if Reiko, Fujin, Tanya, Havik, Frost, and Li Mei all made it since they seem to be the most speculated names.
