Clearly you haven't read Boon's tweet about Kitana being dead.

Kitana is dead and so is Liu Kang. Will they be revived? Maybe, maybe not. If they are not, I feel that we could get another new generation character. This time we may get Kitana and Lui's son as opposed to Sonya/Johnny's daughter, Cassie.

I will rock you.

Well I want it to be a awesome return character from MKDA or MKD. Maybe even if it is new it has to be awesome.

If Kitana or Lui are revived somehow wouldn't they be counted as a new character? I doubt they would be revived as a perfectly normal version of themselves before they died. So technically they would count among the new character roster not the returning. Akin to Bi han returning as noob or lui returning as zombie lui, two different characters.

Ed's comments about Kitana is exactly why nobody should be taking the deaths in MK9 seriously, Death has never mattered in MK and probably never will sadly. That being said, Kitana is probably one of the few dead MK9 characters I wouldn't mind seeing return! Just as long as she's not taking away a spot from Mileena and just as long as she doesn't look as crappy as she did in MK9. I'm praying she has an ass kicking new design for once.
But ideally, I'd want three new reveals and they'd definitely be-
Rain
Tanya
Fujin
Could you imagine the MASSIVE craziness that would ensue if all three of them were revealed together? I'd have to be carried away on a stretcher. Then maybe two months after that they could reveal three new characters to balance it out.

lol.
I have 100% the same wishes for the releases!
While I wouldn't mind Reiko or Sektor as well.
Personally, I feel like this is the best part of any new MK game. We're right in that sweet spot: Only a few characters are known to us, and there's a ton of unknowns just waiting to spoil us.
Wild speculation and brimming with anticipation.
25 years old, and I still love MK just as much as when I picked up that Sega Genesis controller so many years ago...

Anyone hoping or expecting 3 or more character reveals... Lower your expectations. You'll be less disappointed.

It is a very exciting time! Love the speculation! We missed out on that with MK9 so it's good to have it back. I do hope however that they don't mix new and old characters reveals. I think if you reveal a new character along with two old ones that new character would easily be over looked I think. So it would be nice if they switch off with each reveal. Pre-release hype matters a lot when it comes to newbies, it gets people excited and warmed up to them so when they get the game they already feel like family.

Au contraire, I have. It is my belief that Ed Boon said that only because he can not outright confirm or dismiss Kitana since she is a popular character. I still believe she will not return because that opens a can of worms considering that many other characters died with her and were sent to the NetherRealm. Ed Boon is smart and been in the business a long time. He would never make a blunder like that.

And why would Kitana's return open up a can of worms?
The only one that died with her and is somewhat important to her storyline is Jade (nobody knows if Liu Kang is truly dead and I believe he will return as the boss).

Now, that would be one MASSIVE TWIST with Liu Kang!

No, Kitana died with Kung Lao, Smoke, Cyber Sub Zero, Jax, Nightwolf, Jade, Kabal, Sindel and Stryker. With limited roster space available, because Ed Boon has already confirmed that Mortal Kombat X will have the most new characters of any Mortal Kombat game, why would Kitana be allowed to make a spot on the roster and not the others that died with her?
Secondly there are characters in Mortal Kombat 9 that did not die so their return is more easier to understand.
Third, in the Mortal Kombat frnachise if a character dies it usually means they miss the next game. For all these reasons I think that Kitana will not be in Mortal Kombat X.

I feel you brother! I'm 29 and there's no other game series that can get me hyped up as MK can. These are the best weeks / months a true MK fan can have. All the theories, all the speculation... it's just fantastic!

Along with character reveals, 1 stage and finally, the reveal of the new "-Ality!"
As for characters coming back from the dead, its unfair if only one pulls through. If Kitana was the one...I'd say she would have to look somewhat like her mother,Sindel.
However, I don't think she will be included. If she's not in, she'd make good for DLC.
Boss: Sindel
Sub-Boss: Liu Kang.

Kitana and Sub Zero are the most popular of those who died in MK9, so her return is more likely than the rest.

Thats true, but still.
The only ones I really wouldn't mind returning are:
Smoke - As enenra, you can't kill a freaking enenra with a simple kick, Quan Chi may troll with the human remains of Smoke, not with the enenra inside. THis gets rids of the ninja outfit.
Jade - Possessed by the strange woman.
Nightwolf - Darker and maybe puppet for Quan Chi.
Kabal - Helped and saved again by the mysterious smith from his ending, would be cool if he looked much like he looks in his non-canon ending.
All others i'm not really care about. Sindel had her role, Kitana and Liu Kang probably end up making children if they return, and I don't want that + Kitana would mean that Mileena would yet again be revolving around her, Jax could be replaced by Cyrax and who did I miss? Stryker? Yeah right :-p

That is your opinion that they really matter. I put every character on an equal footing.

But still what? I have already given my reasons as to why I do not think Kitana will be in Mortal Kombat X and you have not countered them. They are logical reasons. That does not mean that Kitana will not come back though.
