Odd, he didn't have that in his intro in his reveal trailer... So the characters have several intros? That's kinda neat.

Also, that doesn't necessarily need to be Moloch, but just another Oni. It could be one of the smaller ones that you fight in MK:SM.

We shall certainly find out! Suspense and mysteries are fun during a new MK development period. Whether it is Moloch, I think it is safe to say it is an oni. A nod to MK5 is good news as that opens the doors to MK5 favorites, such as Bo Rai Cho. This intro features Cassie, thus it would be safe to assume there are indeed different intros depending on who you are fighting against. Side note: Am I the only one who thinks of Megadeth when looking at the skull on Quan's chest grin

I wouldn't say Quan Chi is riding in on a horse. It looks like an over sized goat and if you go with old religious text some would put the Goat as a symbolic figure for the pentagram for pagan gods due to the horn ears and chin. I think it would be a safe assumption its a goat he is riding in but I could be wrong none the less.

Yeah, it is a decaying horse with horns similar to a ram.

I think it's just 2 different intros depending on what player you are. The reason Quan didn't have that intro was because the QC player was Player 1.

Hmm, does he have a different intro depening on the person he's fighting, or depending his variation? The trailer showed him riding in on a demonic horse, and now he's enters via a portal after having just cut off a moloch's head.

The thing about styles 1 and 3 is that you could technically perform double and triple enchanced moves:

- Use the enhanced version of the boost field and enhanced a move while under its effects.

- Enhance the bat summon and then enhance its attack.

I still find Warlock the most appealing, but these 2 have potential.


Hm yes, i think you're right. I prefer Variation 2 because i always wished about a kharakter who has the power to create Portals. And QC has it now ^.^ Love this variation.

Moloch has three eyes.
The regular Oni's have two eyes.

I think that which intro you get is based on which character is P1 and which is P2.

A surprising and good reveal. I say surprising because I really didn't think we would be seeing Quan Chi this early.

Really liking his intro and new is good. It sure beats always seeing them walking in on screen.
His "Warlock" variation will be my favorite. I also like the portal moves and that X-ray is cool. However, I don't think that was the whole X-ray because it cut out while Chi was still crunching Kano's neck.
It is obvious that they didn't show everything in all his variations, so...we'll see more soon.

I watched his full fatality and I gotta say that it is brutal, but, thought it was going to be different.

All in all, I give the trailer and the fatality an 8/10.

As for intros (to come on screen), I think all characters will have 3 in accordance to their variations.

Not that it has anything to do with it, but I'm related to Dave Mustaine from my wife's side of the family. Didn't find that out until after I was married. I love me some Rust in Peace! glasses
