I really didn't ever buy into that leak. To me, it sounded like someone stating random bull shit that everyone already assumed.

Sheeva was arguably the least popular character from MK9, and was nothing more than a henchmen with almost zero significance to the plot. Anyone with a brain would assume she's not coming back.

Tanya was one of the most requested DLC's, and has a rather vocal fan base. She was also one of the top three in almost every DLC poll, and has a strong connection to Shinnok. She's easily on top of the list for returnees from the 3d era. An X-ray that resembled her Fatality would just make sense.

The roster thing was all speculation. 30 seems like a safe bet. The breakdown of who makes up the roster was also pretty "safe."

MK9 ended with Shinnok planning his attack...its almost a given that "The Nether Realm War" is going to allude to the events of MK4.

All just random tid bits that could be assumed by anyone who played MK9, and had even a remote knowledge of the lore.

What probably happened is that some of the new characters were resembling old characters too much, so instead of just making (for example purposes here) a new lizard guy they would just retool him a bit and use Reptile again so to not alienate fans.

It's already bogus based on the roster count described. We have more than 8 characters from MK9 and we're all expecting more. Also, no way in hell are we getting 8 characters from the 3D games.

Not to mention how vague and uncertain he seems to be with characters, yet he has very specific breakdown numbers? How do you get those numbers from visiting the studio offices in the first place? C'mon.

Some Legacy list? It's a casting call for a 100% legitimate web series called "Mortal Kombat X: Generations." Those names don't get anymore confirmed than that. Whether some of them were created purely for the web series is up for debate, but it's pretty much a guarantee some of them will be in the game.

Add a few of those to a handful from the comics and voila!

We have 9 confirmed characters from MK9. The leak failed. No exceptions. And it will continue to fail because we're still getting Johnny, Sonya, Liu Kang, Jax, Mileena...

Li Mei has more haters than fans, so puttin her in the game would be suicide, she also don't have a good story for MKX.

Bo Rai Cho is too comedy-based to be in a dark game like MKX, many fans hate the fart and puke jokes so they probably use him in cutscenes only.
