With Boon's tweet I think Kenshi should be in the "most likely" category. And what are Nightwolf and Jax doing there?

Dude, Daegon is a great character.

Look at Kenshi's boots in Deadly Alliance, its practically the same as the foot shown in the second picture. Plus they already teased him so he's pretty much guaranteed to be the next reveal. As for the robe, look at his second costume on the vita version of MK9.

I put Jax and Nightwolf done because they both wear somewhat similar leathers boots to that picture. Also they were listed in the least likely category just in case Ed Boon busts everyone expectations in the next reveal (which I think is probably unlikely). And yes Kenshi does wear a cape in his MK9 alt costume, but is it REALLY likely he'll be wearing it in his primary costume IF he gets confirmed? So far the verdict is unclear. Just because a fatality teaser was shown reputingly of Kenshi's fatality, does not mean Kenshi will automatically be next in the reveal. Jade and Fujin was constantly referenced by Boon yet we got Quan Chi in the October reveal instead. So I'm trying to have an open mind about the next reveal until it shows up.

Now I picked Kabal and Daegon in the most likely category, a particular bunch if I may say so myself. Here are my reasons:

1) Both definitely wear boots AND capes regardless of primary and alternate costumes

2) Kabal is dead of course, but he may be a powerful pawn in the MKX storyline under someone like say Kano if Quan Chi permits him in their "new alliance", but it's a speculation at best not to mention what about the other reputed "powerful" characters such as Nightwolf or Kuai Liang.

3) Daegon makes sense. That teaser with the Red Dragon minion in the comics increases the probability that the Red Dragon will play a part in the MKX story mode especially against some Black Dragon scum like Kano. If Red Dragon minions appear early in the game, then their leader Daegon cannot be far behind that also leaves the MK:A question that has not been resolved in the conclusion of MK9 open. Also, being in a secret alliance with Shinnok behind other potential bad guys' backs makes sense given the context that occurred in MKA, but of course Blaze is not there so Daegon must have a GOOD reason to appear if he wants power of some sort. Maybe he still is hunting for Taven, but he must have a good reason for wanting to kill him WITHOUT BLAZE BEING AWAKEN so there's that plothole open.

Anyway I know my choices are speculations at best, but it doesn't hurt just to discuss the pros and cons from my choices. So my final choice is Daegon for Boot #2.

I don't recall him ever referencing Fujin and Jade.

My guesses, based on the previous game and wishful thinking:

Boot 1: Quan Chi- confirmed.

Boot 2: Kenshi, because I have a feeling he'll be the next reveal and it makes sense for him. Especially with his MK9 Vita alt.

Boot 3: Liu Kang. Although it could be a female character, it could also just be that it's not a big bulky boot like all the other characters are wearing. Wishful thinking here.

Boot 4: New. Partially because there's nothing particularly familiar about it and partially because Ed Boon said there was a MIxture of both old and new here.

Boot 5: Legit no idea here. It's so simple it could really be anyone. It looks like something Jax would wear, but I just don't think he's gonna be in the game. All I can say is some modern character, probably earthrealm, looks male.

Boot 6: Ermac. I don't know what that thing next to or attached to it is, but to me it screams Ermac otherwise.

It's more-less a weapon and it actually screams Shinnok!

The only MK4 character returning is Quan Chi, get use to it people.

Not in the least bit true. We know for a fact Shinnok is gonna have something to do with this story based on the end of MK9 alone. He's going to have to be addressed even if he isn't playable or only in story mode or what have you, it's going to have to be tied up.

And on that note, Boon does hold a soft spot for Tanya (even if she only shows up as DLC). So don't count your cards too quickly.

....what's killing me is Boot #3. I still believe it's a female character. And we are loooooong due for a female reveal. Sucks that I must wait til December!

Yeah, you would think that the next reveal would have to be female, however, the order of the boots seems to be a good indication of the order of reveals.

But we cannot forget that inorder to speculate on patterns you first need more than 1 point of reference = it still could be a coincidence that Boot 1 was revealed first.

Boot #3 could also be Fujin, Liu Kang or even a new male. That would suck if there is only one female (#4) out of those 6 hints.

I'd be willing to bet there will be at the very least one other MK4 character returning. Fujin, Shinnok, and Tanya all have very high chances imo.

Just cause you want Fujin, doesn't mean he has a high chance of being in MKX

Well there is the argument that they actually recorded his name for the select screen in MK9 and he appeared in an ending. That's more than what a lot of characters got so he's likely, more likely than most.

I do believe in an interview back in June EB said there will be at least one MK4 character returning who ISN'T Quan Chi.

Ed Boon WAS referring to Quan Chi.
