To date, I think I was about 6 or 7. I always tried to use Scorpion, but I just never got use to him at the time. Now it's real simple, especially UMK3 and MKD.

Ever since then, I have been addicted to MK!!!!

I've started playing Mortal Kombat ever since the very first MK game came out in arcades back in 1992. I was 8 years old when I started.

Good god some of y'all had the pleasure of being introduced to this game early. I remember the first time I played was MK was in the arcades playing MK4. Shortly after that I went out and got MK4 and MK Trilogy for the N64. I was about 6 at the time.

When I was about 9 or 10 my parents would go out gambling and while they were doing that I'd be upstairs in the arcade. MK1 was sitting in a highly visible spot across from the escalator. I'd play, usually as Sub-Zero (I'll admit it that my first connect with this character was because he was my favorite color). Sometime after, when people on the news were knockin' it for its uber violence my dad didn't want me to play it anymore after realizing that's the game I had been wasting his $40 on.

I stopped for awhile and then picked it up again. Stopped, picked it up, and on and on. What my dad didn't know didn't hurt him. Finally started playing again a couple years ago and haven't stopped since...

Yeh, my parents didnt mind the gore much either. They knew I wasn't going to rip someone's spine out whilst in the playground.

I think I was about 6 or 7. Started on the first MK on super nintendo.

I had to be about 13. I used to live with my grandparents nextdoor to an arcade and once we moved I was always comin' back on weekends to visit and that's where my friend and I first laid our eyes on the brutal, gory tournament. After that we started converting our GI Joe's into MK figures, and were even more happy when we seen a tv ad for the MK figures that they came out with shortly after (which I have a bunch of, but not many of the newer ones, but I'll work on that). I don't have Shang Tsung's slowboat, but I think I've got all the other originals, then some of the MK Trilogy figures and the 12" Johnny Cage was a gift a few years ago

i was around 5 years old playing mk3 on genesis w/ my cousin. I remember spamming liu kang's bicycle kick by running my fingers down the a b and c buttons. I was amazed by the blood explosions from uppercuts, and i wouldn't allow him to do a fatality to sonya. She was my girlfriend.

Soooo, he puts her into the spikes on the bell tower, i attack him, and im not allowed to play mk again until im about 16.
