I lost my Mortal Kombat virginity when I was about 5 to MK3 for Sega Genesis. I chose Sindel and kept running back and forth throwing my cousin around with her hair throw. grin
That day changed my life. MK has been an important part of my videogaming life. Easily my favorite series of all time. smile

About Me

When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yes sir, the check is in the mail."

Jack Burton was four years old, it was MK1 on the SNES in 1993...sure, there wasn't any blood on that version, but that's all we had. But I knew there was blood on the other versions. I remember going to my cousins' house to play it on their Sega. I knew even then there was something to love about this franchise.

It was Mortal Kombat 2 for the SNES before I started Kindergarten. Does anyone know if MK3 came out before 1995?

Two years old in 1992. Yes I'm telling the truth, I can remember everything clearly from the age of 1. I've been blessed with an extensive memory. My whole entire childhood was MK.

I was 9 or 10. MK2 had just come out and I remember being fascinated by the characters and their fatalities when I saw a spread with all of them in an issue of Gamepro.

It must be when i was 10 or 11. As MK1 came throw anyone his Street Fighter 2 out of the window. As i was 12 i played MK2 the first time and so i can MK never forget. I had no fun anymore to play games like Super Mario World or something. My gaming history is build on two games: Mortal Kombat and Doom.

I think I was either 11 or 12 years old when I first played Mortal Kombat. Before that, I didn't like MK due to watching the 2nd MK movie. Funny, huh?
1992. i was 5 when i 1st experienced Mortal Kombat. me and my older brother were cleaning clothes in the laundry joint when we saw that they installed 2 new arcades. Pac-Man and Mortal Kombat. the lines were HUGE! we both made the line and we were to face each other, isn't that ironic lol. he chose sub-zero because he was blue and i chose scorpion cuz hes a freakin ninja. from that moment on we were hooked. from seeing ice come out and freeze me, to throwin the spear and hearing Scorpion say "Come Here!". but what got us to play the game over and over was pulling off the finisher. i had beaten my brother and when the announcer said "Finish Him", i was like wtf? i moved around and by mistake set my brother on fire. everyone was like how did i do that. lets just say we didn't have no clean clothes for a week b/c of Mortal Kombat.furious

I got started by playing MKII in April 1994, at the age of eighteen. I remember it clearly.

There was an arcade within spitting distance of my high school and therefore a lot of kids would play the games (naturally, I was the only female). I always selected Johnny Cage or Jax. We'd all have our little crib sheets with the special moves propped up on the console.

Ah, memories.

I think around the age 5 or 6. I thought it was such a serious fighting game.
I used to be scared when I was fighting with the characters.
And the music, oh goodness!
My favorite character back then was Sonya (because she was a girl).
Now I am 17 and still a fan...but Sonya is no longer my favorite character lol.

I was 4 years old and I played MK2 and MK3 on Sega Genesis.Man....The memories of childhood.I miss the days when video games were just based on how fun it was and not about graphics as much.Nowadays everyone focuses on graphics and how lifelike the games are.But all I have to say is games don't always have to be real. Its a gamers imagination that counts in a game which is what I think. Games like Mario and Sonic are a perfect example.

I think I was 2 or 3, when I started playing Mortal Kombat. I played Mortal Kombat 1 and 3 on the SNES. It actually belonged to my older brother.
