I'll check it out tomorrow.
lol...too funny guys. Tom picking up Raiden has reduced any hype or intrigue I have in watching him play, Raiden has to have a lot of more interesting things he could be doing...that are viable and effective, right? I'm so bored of this character or maybe it's just the style of Raiden I keep seeing from people....
Take it however I want? Alright. Not really sure what that means or implies to anything I said but yeah. I guarantee sometime at a major he will end up making top 8.
Him switching to Raiden was the smartest thing for him to do. Look at how he used Sub, he used him for a long while and consistently did better with him tourney after tourney. With all the nerfs Sub has received, he is easily bottom 10 and not a precise choice for getting top at a major since there is so many great players now. Seriously. I think if Raiden doesn't work out with him he should definitely stick with a different character, etc. Or use 2 or 3 different characters aside from just Raiden, like using Cage, KL, or Sub for different matchups. He just needs some time to recuperate. People seriously need to lay off him.

The hype at the end was great, with 16Bit's remarks and announcement
I enjoyed Slips universe rant as well.
LOTF; however, called out essentially every tournament player, it didn't feel hype like other call outs we've seen that are fun and interesting...it just felt obnoxious and trying too hard.

First off, shout outs to the downloadable MP3 formats. I wasn't able to listen to one whole episode up till now. I think I killed 3 episodes at work today.
Lots of interesting points on counter picking. There are two big worries about counter-picking, and 16-bit brought up the first one (changing mental gears from main character to secondary character). The second worry, IMO, is what one should do if a counter pick has a hard counter pick. My advice on the scenario is (and I know I'm a broken record) that your counter pick should legitimately be your second best character. You shouldn't be thinking, "I lost to Cage. Sub beats Cage. I'm gonna use Sub." Even if that works, the other person can counter pick with Kitana after that, and then what the fuck are you going to do? I'd say the best route is to invest in a secondary character with an alternate style. If you're main is a zoner, counter pick with a rushdown character.
As for Lord of the Fly, I didn't know what to expect after reading some of the other comments. I figured he was going to be like, "I'm gonna body THIS guy! Then I'm gonna body THAT guy! Then I'm gonna..." and so on and so on. I listened to the podcast finally, and his criticisms seemed pretty sedate (although incredibly cold in delivery). A bit harsh, yeah, but he didn't state anything too dogmatically. He pitched his thoughts more as observations than verdicts, so it's all good in my book.
At the end of the day, he mains Nightwolf, so he gets mad respect from me. I adore that character, but can't play him for shit.
The only person I think he was unjust to was Krayzie. He went into no detail. Even without the detail though, these were his answers. They asked him what he thought, and he was honest. We can't ask the guy to lie, can we? Harsh as he was, it sounded like his opinions were well contemplated and thought through. His words were critical, but they were from the heart.
His cold. Soulless. Heart.
Anyhoo, I have a question Kombat Tomb guys (Slips already answered this kinda): after everything Fly said, do you now think Nightwolf is more tournament viable?

So what do you think of my team?
So what do you think of my team?
I think it's great!
I think Slips could be the "VSM killer". I know Scoot plays Scorpion over there at VSM, but Slips' Scorpion is a whole other level imo. I'm not sure they're ready for a Scorpion like that, Slips' Scorpion is a real ninja.
Detroit has already demonstrated that he can beat those guys, plus this time the crowd won't be against him as it was at NEC XII. Also, whenever I see him play, he always seems to play better than before, he's constantly improving. He blew me away with his grand finals performance at NEC XII, I couldn't believe how well he played with Jax (!). God knows how much he improved with other characters in the meantime.
As for Morty, if he goes with Sonya, REO's Kabal might likely be a problem (he said on the podcast he doesn't like the match-up). Other than that, I believe he can beat anyone else they throw at him.
As for Dizzy, like I said to you before, each time I see him play his game always seems to be a level up in comparison to last time. I really liked what I saw from him last time at GGA, the way he calmly walked his Johnny across the arena without making any foolish jumps. His f3 and b3 punishes are great, plus he himself seems so chill, like nothing gets to him. I think they might underestimate him more than anyone else on your team and that only plays to his advantage.
Then there's you. Well, I already talked to you about your previous performances, so you know I'm impressed. It's the best Kitana out there imo, they can hate all they want. (I initially wrote more stuff, but it sounded "cheesy" so I erased it lol).
I can't wait for this! Good luck! I'll be cheering for you guys and I have a feeling most of the stream monsters are going to be cheering for you guys as well.

New episode feat. Ikizzle, the Sektor player that finished 9th at Final Round, is out!
Ikizzle was one of the players that really impressed me at Final Round. Check out his matches in Pool A, really good stuff. My favorites were his matches against Sonya players, Morty Seinfeld and Clint The Beast.
Final Round Pool A playlist.

Hehe, couldn't help myself.
Great episode, of course. People have been sleeping on Sektor for a long time, so it's cool to see Ikizzle have such success with him. I actually think he's right about Sektor being roughly 11th on the tier list. I don't think that's a bad rank, though. The mid-tier is so dangerous in this game.
Final Round seems to have vindicated Nightwolf's viability, and I look forward to seeing how far Big D and Fly can take him in future events (I'd love to hear the details of Fly's casual matches with Slips). Also, Noobe's pressure game with Cyrax changed the way I see the character. That was fucking crazy.
I'm curious to see whether Slips stays with Scorpion. I hope he sticks it out, not just because of loyalty, but because his guessing-game offense is such an interesting playstyle, and I'd hate to see that disappear.

Finally got some time to check out the latest episode. Poor Slips, I hope he recovers. Couldn't help but laugh every time he would say Noobe's & Wafflez's names, sounded so depressed.
Loved when he said "I guess I gotta try with Scorpion one last time." near the end of the episode. It was a very fun episode overall, really enjoyed listening everyone's impressions on FRXV.
Can't wait for MLG now. Even though REO won FRXV and he wants to beat PL really bad, I'm still more excited about a possible PL vs CD Jr. match.
