Yep, MK3 had probably the best and most fun fighting mechanics.

I only wish they'd combine the MK3 and MK:SM mechanics for the next MK. Make it fun to play again.

I honestly had the MOST fun with MKDA, it was the best mechanic for me, but it got boring in MKD.

MKU obviously has the best (most “balancedâ€?) gameplay. The Mk3 series are my second fave in terms of gameplay, I was shocked to see the incredible change from the Mk1-2 style to the Mk3 mechanics, simply amazing and fun.

The worst for me is MKD, it just got boring fast, and it wasn’t as good as MKDA…at all.

u no wut they should do after MKA (if theres another game) since they made mk1 and 2 together in shaolin monks .. at the end quan chi picks up the amulet and runs off with it they should make mk3 and mk4 were kahn only was temporarly killed and tsung brings him back and he and sindel have there relation ship happends and then the hole outworld invasion and then when kill kahn shinnok comes back and he does that whole thing with wutever happend in mk4 cuz i dont remeber the story at this time

A mix of UMK3/4/MKSM would be pretty awesome, and fast.

This is a gameplay related thread, not a story related thread. But just for the record, MKSM's story is shit and doesn't count. Shao Kahn wasn't killed in MK2 or MK3.

Anyway, I like certain elements from all of the MK's (excluding MKM: SZ since it's more like MK3 style and MKSF because I've never played it) so it's hard for me to say even though I know that technically, UMK3 is the best.

umk3 is the best for competitive and mk2 is a slowed down version with no button combos or run. as far as best id say UMK3 by far

And no damage protection, and more damage per regular move in MK2. Both of those additions in U/MK3 made it the best engine.

tightening up the juggle system, smoother transitions between movements, no full step tapping, and other needed gameplay adjustments were added here and there between MKII, MK3 and UMK3 and it made a huge impact on the gameplay as well, cementing UMK3's status as the best 2D MK game, and then everything following it just being worse, and worse, and worse kept it there.

Mk:da, Mk:D and Mk 2.

i'm sorry but I think Mk3, imk3, mkT had THE WORST gamplay and fatalities! But of coruse that just my opinion1

Best is MK2 hands down. Avoiding all other opnions,maybe MKT. But the best was MK2. Finito, end of discussion.
