Hey I just wanna say that all these videos are wicked, big thanks to the guys that make them....I'd love to play you guys in a round or two....
I'm a long time MK fan and I'm not trying to brag or anything but I consider myself to be a good player and back in the day I could string together combos like that....not as good but I could hold my own....

I've only just found this forum since my interest in MK has been rekindled with DA and Deception and I'm still dloading all the vids, but keep posting them........rock on....

Also, I got an email from the admin at RoK and it seems like they are going under (and I'm glad) but they are making the new forums home here. I once posted these combo videos on their site, and one of their fan boys immediately accused me of not being who I said I was, and I just left their site after he tried to pseudo-intellectually dissect my posts, creating completely irrelevant side chatter when all I wanted to do was share our work with more of the MK community. It's ok, the 100 or so members weren't enough of a base to keep me at their crappy site. Has anyone seen any RoK members signing up and posting on here?

But I really enjoyed the videos, I like watching them even when I'm not that good in UMK3 and the other games, liked the glitch part (hehe) plus I felt really proud when I saw the url to my site at the end of the Kompletitions video.

Yes the mkwarehouse really helped out a lot with all those sprites.

Are you guys planning on eventually ripping everyone from every arcade MK? Cause that would help a lot in our efforts with MUGEN.

Weird, I thought I posted in response to that last one days ago, guess it didn't go through.

Only Ermac can specifically do that 6X Roundhouse combo because of the lift and it has to be done absolutely perfectly to the frame in order to not be blockable, but it's not even remotely possible to set up. Scorpion and Smoke can get 3 corner roundhouses in one combo, I don't think anyone else has got even close to the roundhouse capability.

Those vids kick ass, so many cool combos. There was this Cyrax corner combo that made me go you threw him onto the bomb! awesome...

Anyways, I was wondering if you guys are gonna do any more combo vids any time soon? I know you guys are running out of ideas, but they are so cool.

I think you guys need to do a Complete Mortal Kombat Combo vid, just combos from MK1, 2, 3, UMK3, MKT, MK4, MKG, DA and D.

I know you guys aren't big fans of the switch to 3D, but there are still some pwn-fest combos in MK4 onwards, and a complete vid would be crazy...

I can pretty much guarantee no MKDA and MKD videos since I'm going to probably sell back my MKD to a video game store maybe even tomorrow, big big waste of money figure I'll get something back for it. I really should start renting games first cause I have several I just simply don't like at all.

Anyway, I have been thinking about an MK1 video and it might happen, but we'd definitely include the different revisions since it is so grossly limited. MK2 is pretty much taken care of by Konqrr, as is MK3 and UMK3, and even both PSX MKTs, and obviously Ninja Grinder has gone through N64 MKT. The next project will probably be a Shang Tsung Morph video, plus including whatever extras have been lying around that I've come up with in the mean time.

I think the MK4/MKG combos are a little more suited to your taste, seeing as how it kinda was a 2D - 3D game. The combos were reminiscent of the classics, not completely revamped like MKDA and MKD. I still believe there are good unexplored combo video possibilites in those games, seeing how there are also many buggy and regular versions as well. AND the fact that the combo's were ridiculously easy in mk4...But I'm not sure if they are all too similar, that there will be no variety, and therefore end up with a very short vid...

And a MK1 vid sounds great. I'm glad to hear that is it is a possibility. If it's anything like Konqrr's recent MK2 vid, I'm sure we will all be shocked...

I've actually tried out combos in MK1 and MK4, and some combos are somewhat decent. The thing I don't like about MK4 is that everyone has the same damn button links. Horrible choice by Midway.

Anyway, a combo in MK4 that I like is...

Raiden: Kick Starter,HP, HP, HK, D+HP, Run in 2 Juggle HPs, Jump HK, Torpedo. It makes the Maximum damage, which was also a horrible decision by Midway. I know you can turn it off. Plus, that combo isn't too amazing or anything.

Trust me...there are some really amazing combos in MK4/G.

Plus MK1 as well, older revisions anyway.

I was actualy playing MK4 earlier today, and I thought the very same...

MK2KungBroken: What type of controller do you play with? I looked around but didn't see anything mentioned directly. My friend and I use xbox pads, which though 8 way, seem good on the dpad side, but don't offer much for speed on the button end.

We're toying around with trilogy combos, and are trying to get bigger ones, but even via imitation I think our timing is being thrown off by button lift duration. I'm in the process of building a couple joysticks, but since I fried my button hand at work I don't know if that'll cover me either.

Everything was done on the computer, I used a keyboard for every combo, even the Trilogy ones, and DreemerNJ did as well. Dreemer is in the process of making a couple custom Capcom/MK universal sticks using all competition parts. I have a PSX Blaze arcade stick shown here for usage with MKD/A. I like it, some other friends have used it including Dreemer, but it takes some getting use to overall, however I find it to be very responsive and the stick itself is great. I like Jap sticks, but I would like a combination of Jap stick base, with US bat shaped top. I think that would be the ultimate combination. I hope that helps, but yes you definitely could be hindered by recoil.

Whoah, man; I've never been able to translate well to keyboard. I've always just made do with whatever shitty gravis gamepad was available.

Guess I'll see what comes of this stick set I'm building, and deal with timing issues more harshly until then.

I've come to find out that a keyboard is the best controller for the first 4 MK's. It responds very well, and you can cheat. I love ducking with Sindel, and at the same time pushing forward for her scream. Muhahahah.

Just want to keep everyone up to date on the goings on with the combo videos and what the future may bring. I talked to DreemerNJ tonight and sorta whispered in his ear "Let's start working on the morph video" since he got his new computer. Things should flow pretty nicely and once we start getting that flow moving, the morph video will happen. NinjaGrinder is going to play a big part in the video as he has inspired creating it. Look for it I would say sometime next month. In the mean time, any other questions would be cool, and if anyone has any suggestions for combos, let them rip.

Current video progress:

I have been PMing back and forth with Ninja Grinder, and he has been feeding me stuff he would put in a video but since he can't make a UMK3 one, we're going to put a lot of stuff together in this one. He's got a whole bunch of glitches and combos and what not and I've recorded most of them, plus some of my own, and if anyone knows cool glitches PM them to me.

Right now I have over 60 clips of glitches/combos/cool shit for the video, not including the pending morph combos which I am hoping will be the bulk of this video. Right now I have about 10 to record, and I will try and make more, but most of the morphing stuff will be Ninja Grinder's. I think this will be the last update and then I'll put the video together with DreemerNJ and Ninja Grinder.

I'm waiting on Ninja Grinder to get back to me, he hasn't been online in about 10 days. He needs to send me some stuff, otherwise I started putting the video together the other day with my music, I cut a lot of stuff out, stuff that wasn't that important, and the fact that I started with about 14 minutes of footage, now down to about 11ish.

where those umk3 combos done on a PC version? It was really cool to watch, but then i realized the speed was slower than the arcade (making it possible to do things that are impossible like 2 roundhouses in a row). is the "rediculous combo "sign that flashes on the screen real? If so I would be interested in trying to find a way to do it on the arcade.

95% of the combos in the videos are done on UMK3 arcade, most of the rest are Greatest Hits MKT for PSX, a handful are on the buggy version of the PSX MKT, and then a few are MK3 arcade.
