Kool. Midway even exchanged my old MK Gold buggy disk now which I bought in an import game shop about 4 years ago. That was really a great support from Midway, didn't expect to get my CD back or replaced...

Has anyone played the MK4 arcade version here?! It's the only game where I never got in kontakt with the arkade version coz I've never seen such a machine in my lokal arkades...

...just wonder how big the differences between MK Gold and MK4-Arcade were. I just noticed (from Screenshots) that the blood and fatalties looked a bit better in this version. Is that true??

depends on wich version of the arcade you play the first wave(wich most arcades had because everyone wanted the mk4 machine since the mk series was so popular)the characters only had one fatality each..goro's lair wasnt a pit..some of the weapons were switched around and there was no alternate costumes..this is in my opinion what hurt mk4 in arcade play most of the machines out there basicly had an unfinished game.it did however show the creators what they needed to change for the console versions...if only they had been able to do the same with MKDA.as for your question if the fatalities or blood looked better?..they are identical to the home versions.
i have an mk4 first wave arcade machine at my work and play it during my breaks so i've gotten to know the differences well.
as for the thread reply mk4 is second only to mk2 and i thought it was a great game.people that didnt like it probably never had the chance to play against other people since its definately the best person to person mk.and i think every single fatality in mk4 is better than all the new ones in mkda.

the only problem im having with MK godl is that i have beaten the game with kitana, mileena, cyrax and sector and watched their endings but if i turn off the console (dreamcast) then turn it on the next day to play it seems that it hasnt saved which movies ive unlocked and thats pretty annoying. anyone know why thi shappens?

I had much more trouble with the (1st release) of the US-version, couldn't even boot the f*cking game - it simply didn't boot!!! And not only that: VMU wasn't suppported, it had tons of bugs, and sometimes the sound&music was not present when I tried to boot it via RGB-front-input!

...the Weapon-System only sucked a bit (to me) because you were not able to do lot of weapon-based moves, only thing you could do was hack&slash abit then throw it at your oppenent's ass. I don't have any problem with that, that's exactly why I loved it!

i have tride saving after beating the game with someone but it still doesnt save end movies , it only saves settings im soo pissed

as for the weapons i never use them i love when someone else tried to cause i just beat them down durign the time it takes them to draw the weapon out of their ass and then in the end the weapon ends up on the ground anyway

that's why you bring your weapon out in mid kombo, cause it's out and ready in no time at all

When I first played MK4 I liked it. I fell in love with Fujin as a new character, I was happy that Rayden had returned, and most of my favorite oldies were there. MK4 really doesn't suck. I mean, it doesn't focus on a scheme of Shao Kahn's and Shang Tsung's for a chance. It has a new and original plot to it. I mean it.
MK1=The official tournament and the last one that Kahn needs to invade Earth. Main bad guy=Shang Tsung, working for KAHN
MK2=Kahn's private tournament to kill the Earth heroes but also to keep the portals open to get Sindel. Main bad guy=KAHN
MK3, UMK3, MKT= Kahn just can't take the failures anymore and just gets Sindel and invades Earthrealm. I liked it because it had a dark story to it. Main bad guy=KAHN
MK4= Shinnok, with the help of Quan Chi, rises from the netherealm to continue his domination of realms. No Kahn here, but people are saying since MK Gold that Reiko is Kahn, but they are not exactly identical is physical appearance. Kahn is more built than Reiko, and Reiko is on the same team as Noob, and when Noob went to Kahn in MK3, Kahn didn't know Noob for a LONG time like Reiko has. I have a question though: Was Reiko's weapon a huge hammer, like Kahn's? If not, then there you have it. Reiko=Kahn. FALSE

3 years ago... well, back to it now! IT DOESN'T SUCK!! Its the fastest and most furious of the MK series! Such brutality should have continued, the moves can be performed incredibly fast, mix ups are beatiful, it can't be broken because of the max dmg cap and of course running is in the game. Anyone agree? Anyone try the scorpion combo where you jump kick them and quickly telepunch+spear all in one? Its so fast and awesome unlike the slowpoke games of today.
