Anyhoo, just wanted to say that although I have not responded to this thread (up to now) I am thoroughly enjoying these videos. And I am very grateful to Ray for bothering to make and send the videos off and to Konqrr for converting and uploading them. 2 completely selfless acts that have by and large gone unappreciated so far.

Remember guys just because the criticism is louder than the praise doesn't mean it's in the majority.

I play Shang the same way Mr. does Some 'advice': U can throw in the crane long range sweep sometimes, it surprises and has good range and with a BDC it's not that laggy. Abuse his step! I know the step tracking method but Shangs step is so quick u should be able to use it many times. Maybe a little bit more of that sm button, u could get a throw or a reversal.

I haven't seen reversals in any of the vids, I played a good Raiden at my local gamestore and the reversal took me by surprise a lot of times. Maybe that's because I'm just a 'decent' player

1. Drahmin vs Sonya - Not a bad match, but it's the first Sonya footage I've seen so far. Mr is really afraid of Drahmin's Fly Trap, but...

2. Drahmin vs Sonya: The Rematch - ...he learns to see it coming, then...well I won't spoil it for you. Another good one.

Yeah, I tend to forget about those reversals and certain things during a match. Also rayrokka plays with a much different pace than the computer so it's hard to time reversals against him.

sure thing. its not just going to be mk. our orginal idea was to have 6 games over a 3 day weekend. the first day will be for fighting games. (mkda and tekken 4) the 2nd day will be in the sports area (thps4 and wwe sd sym) and the final day will be for racing games (atv2 and test drive) al those games are still being considered. the only game thats 100% sure to be there is mkda. it all depends on the owner, and what games the people would like to see.

you were way to passive in that last round Mr.Schpfmut. you gotta bring it to me and not give me a chance to set you up. Sonya is good close in, you were too cautious. You were seeing it all day, but eventually it overcame you. there are some people out there that are less than perfect at this game, i hope some of this is helping you for those of you that need it.... This has been alot of fun, and it has given me an excuse to play again and make new friends with the same interests. Mr.Schpfmut has been really kool and I consider him to be my friend. It's also nice to play against someone that doesn't get mad at you for beating them. Mr. Schpfmut just keeps going man! A real trooper, and from the first time I played him to recently...his game has improved alot!

After several changes, I've landed on a good button layout:

1, 2, cs
3, 4, sm
blk, nothing

I use what would be the run button in MK3 for Block because it feels natural and the CS is where the Tag button would be for TTT. I used to have SM next to block but I could never hit the damn thing when I needed to, my thumb doesn't bend that way, heh...so I moved it to the Roundhouse position. Now it works great!

I played my brother yesterday and just uploaded a vid of us playing...he's kind of just standing there LOL. My nick on the game is "KONQRR X" because I had to make another profile for the new button layout I'm using for the X-Arcade stick.

I'm on Aussie 56k dial-up, so I've only seen one video, the 1st Drahmin vs Sonya one.

Unlike some other morons here, I'll give you a critique of each fighter.

Ray - I reckon you're relyng a bit too heavily on Drahmin's specials. I was able to tell what move you were going to pull and when you were going to pull it, and I think Mr. Shpmduf knew that a bit, although he obviously wasn't too confident in picking it. Although VERY nice combos when you were able to pull them off. A suggestion would be to power up, stun your opponent with a low attack before launching into a combo - it's true the combo will lose some effect, but you will still be able to pull it off with some severe damage done. I wouldn't want to go against you Drahmin vs Drahmin 'cause you'd probably beat me.

Mr. Schmpfd (or however u spell ur name) - I'm assuming u don't know much about Sonya She has VERY good combos when you can pull them off. It's very easy to mix-up combos, switching from Kenpo to TKD and then throw in a Kali to Kenpo for a bit of fun. I suggest you practise some style branches Kenpo to TKD, throwing in a power-up somewhere in there, 'cause she has EXCELLENT combo potential.

I have a little Sonya tip for her Kenpo style.

In that fight I didn't see it used, so I just thought I'd add it.
Sonya has a second launcher in Kenpo which is much quicker than her rising axe kick (4).
It's U+2 (rising uppercut), it's much faster and recovers much faster as well.
It can lead of into this combo as well:
U+2, 4, Kiss, Powerup, Style branch (1, 1, CS, 4, CS). 32% I believe.
I just find it much better then trying to find the perfect opportunity to counter with either her rising axe, or the 1,1,4 combo launcher.
