You still don't get the point. This is classic Midway tactics and trying to make as much money off something as possible, it's the exact same concept as creating rumors about games and following up on fan created rumors to give games more life.

Those screens are MKT, you can tell by the extra screen area under their feet, over the energy bars, and the distance between the characters heads and the energy bars. This I admit is something only a true hardcore fan would notice, but even not noticing that, it's still MKT for PSX, and that's not very easy to make a mistake with. It's blatant disrespect for the consumer and I hate them for it so I'm not buying their bullshit mediocrity. No you haven't gotten the point yet.

This is a pretty long argument, but I completely agree with the majority of people complaining about it not being UMK3. There is a huge law on "false advertisement". Let me give you one big huge example: McDonalds. You go to their resturaunt and see the very neat sandwiches you will be ordering. You get yours, and it is totally messy. Get this, someone sued McDonalds for this, and won! However, even though they won, McDonalds still makes messy sandwiches. When Midway says it is going to be MKII, and MK3, they really are breaking the law just a tad by placing UMK3 shots in the trailer. No one, can sue them though for one reason. Video games, and movies all go through changes. Some scenes get cut, and some games get tweeked. Ergo, no suing can happen since the final project isn't released. Midway should however listen to all the fans that have sent them letters concerning the issue. I myself sent one urging them to use the extra memory to put UMK3 on the disc either with, or besides MK3. 20 games for $20, and there is one game on there I am certain never became an arcade game. I am not sure so there is another misleadind issue. That is Xenophobe. As far as I can remember it was only released on the 8 bit system Nintendo. Get rid of that, and place UMK3 in, and there's your 20 games for $20. That's my opinion, and I know a lot of people including a few who were attacking one certain viewer which I believe is against the rules here? It is like harrasing him. Okay guys, that's enough. It is MK3 in MAT2. So what if they made a mistake of putting MKT and UMK3 shots in. I do agree that it is wrong with them putting in the UMK3/MKT shots in order to attempt to fool somebody but there is nothing we can do about it. Just settle for MK3 and get over it. I can still play UMK3 on MAME. And it's pretty much a given that they will release UMK3 on the current gen systems sometime next year. Maybe even MK4.

You don't make that kind of mistake the fact that it was blatanatly intentional is why we are mad. Midway BS is BS in it's purest, most concentrated form. If you bought Midway BS from the Supermarket, you'd have to add 8 oz of water to a serving to be able to drink it.

I'm glad UMK3 is going to eventually come out on the current generation systems, and I'll get it when that happens, but it is truly irritating how they will show clips of a game that isn't going to be there. And remember, it's not even Ultimate being shown, it's just Trilogy, and the MK3 clips are either arcade, or PSX MK3, but I don't remember specifics on MK3 for PSX, looks like there's too many frames for it though. Go figure.

I hate Midway.

First off, how do we have any more proof that MK3 will be in MAT2 instead of UMK3 now than we did when they first released the revised preview videos?

Let's not forget, they udpated the trailers and pretty much the only change they made was to add footage from MKT & UMK3.

While I do admit that it probably will just be MK3, the website says "20+ games." It could be added. Who's to say that Midway won't release, MKII, MKIII, and UMKIII on MAT2 to make up for excluding MKI?

The game's release is still way out in October - lots can change in that time.

My point is, no matter how much we bitch, we can't really change anything. Just relax - we'll find out October 11. MKT is a fun-enough hold-over even if UMK3 isn't on MAT2.

Further, it's fairly obvious that since Midway is releasing the MK's on this disk, they intend to probably release subsequent MK's (UMK3 & MK4) on future MAT disks.

Everyone chill. PLay your Mame versions of UMK3 and/or MKT, have a nice beer, and realize that there are bigger issues in the world to think about.

Actually the laws usually include something saying that any backups have to be in the same format as the original. So, backing up an SNES cart to a blank cart is legal, but backing it up to your computer is not. So, technically, having a copy of a game's rom chips on your comp is still not legal, even if you own the game.

Anyway....it seems to me that UMK3 on the game would be a good possibility....UMK3 was only a minor rom update to MK3.

Midway specifically joined the license to have it so even back ups of games that are generally legal in theory, are now illegal as a matter of fact.

And to everyone who is countercomplaining about my complaining, I don't give a damn what any of you think so stop your counterwhining, it's more annoying than anything else. Don't tell me my complaining is pointless when yours is even more pointless.

I'm with you all that it sucks they made a mistake, but I don't think the talk of false advertising is accurate. I'm not a lawyer, but I do believe part of it is about intent. I doubt you could prove they had intent to trick us. I know it's hard to believe because we're all fans, but the people making the video probably really don't get the difference between MKT and MK3.

I don't even remember who talked about legit false advertising claim on this, but the people who make the video are given footage from Midway, and if not, work directly for Midway. Whatever the case may be, someone who directly knows the difference between MK3 and MKT gave someone else footage and said "Use this." Regardless of who did it, my point all along has been "Midway sucks".

I'm still hoping for the hidden UMK3 or something along those lines as well, but I know it won't happen so I'm not holding those hopes up too high.

Hell, they could ax MK3 altogether and put the Primal Rage 2 beta in it's place. After the game is done and available, only then are they only allowed to show true game footage.
