they didnt mention anything at all about what type of fighting styles theres going to be if any at all. it makes the gameplay feel limited and also it will make it seem like theyre just fighting like an after school fight where theyres no real style there just punching each other randomly like how any one of us on here would fight. (guessing that no one here is a martial artist) like i saw the trailer and everything and the moves are organized and stuff but the fact that they dont have fighting styles brings back the feelings of mk 1-4. idk i might be wrong but or maybe didnt hear something but the only real gameplay features are the freefall and close kombat. other than that the gameplay reminds me of the arcade versions of mk.

From what's been released/said so far there won't be changeable styles, but each fighter will fight in there own individual character based style.

And by the way, there is atleast one martial artist on the board.

Each character will have his or her own unique style. It will be nothing like MKDA-MKA. Where you can change styles. Sorry.

MINION's right.

There are no real "technical fighting styles" or "switching fighting styles" to speak of. As such, the game should feel like the older ones. Couple that with the fact that we'll have to trigger 2D movement with the joystick, and there you go.

However yea, each character will fight like themselves. Which again, seems similar to the older games.

question's answered, yet this thread seems to cover a little more than the typical question, so I'll leave it open for a while longer.

Any other questions?

Pretty much, I like the fact that there's no changeable fighting stances. Makes it easier to know the comboes this way rather than pasuing the game every time when you want to change the stance and you forgot what comboes there are in the stance.

Even though there's no changeable stances, and everyone has their own unique style... it's gonna be a lot more interesting to play now.

Yeah, not the fighting styles thing, but they will fight like they should. Catwoman uses her claws in slashes, Superman uses more punches than kicks, etc.

I think the ones we see now are just default stances for everyone for DEMOS.
I'm pretty sure the individual ones are still being worked on for the real game.

And wasn't it already obvious it wouldn't have changeable stances?
