posted03/26/2004 02:00 AM (UTC)byI am very excited that each character has two fatalities, but do you think that is enough? While playing MKDA, i became bored after i saw all the fatalities. Maybe thats because the fatalities werent that good to begin with. I think that instead of a Hara-Kiri being implemented, they should have added another fatality. Hara-Kiri seems so dumb to me. They may be bloody, but they cant beat a Fatality. I may be wrong, they could be awesome if they show a video of it. I still think that each character should have three fatalities each but maybe im askin for too much.

I think in conjuction with the instant Stage fatalities, and then the standard stage kills ( they are 2 seperate things currently) and the hari kari moves, then yea its enough, i didnt even care about them only having 1 in MK:DA, its how the actual game plays itself.

Here`s the math
24 characters, each have 2 fats, 1 hari kari and the deformed Tetris guys have fatalities also.
24 X 2 (fatalities) 48
24 X 1 (Hari Kari) + 24
24 x 1 (deformed fats) + 24
= 96
Add the stage fatalities and/or background fatalities and you get over a hundred death sequences.
Sure beats the 21 from the last game. In other words, Yeah! there`s more than enough to make me happy........ if they actually deliver on these promises...

Yes, looking back at MK2 (not counting babalaties and friendships) Every character there had 2 fatalaties, plus the 2 stage fatalaties, and lastly the deadpool. There were plenty of ways to finish off an opponent in that game. Just for the record I never get tired of seeing Kung Lao's slice down the middle fatalaty.
So if they are done well enough and some thought is put into them then yes I think 2 per character is plenty.

Yes. it's perfect. Each character has tow of THEIR OWN fatalities (ex. Toasty and Spear Head), plus the stage fatalities makes it perfect.

hmm yeah its alot if u think about it.. instead of just 24 like we got in da.. we got 48+hari kari.. did i sp that right.. and the stage fatalitys/death traps... and yes the hari kari moves does sound cool the way ign posted about it..

OMG I can watch Kung Lao's Fatality in MK2 like over 50 million times and not get bored of it, its so sick!
I reckon 2 fatalities is enough, if they were to make 3 each then, some would be pretty darn stupid, i mean it, really stupid like quanchi's 1 in MKDA... how dumb was that?
I love the hari-kari idea, its awesome but they should also include friendships as well(if they have time) its not that important, but it will add another dimension to the game :)

I think that with the 2 fatals per each, hara-kiri, stage fatals, and death traps, it should be enough. I just hope though that if they give you deatils about the stage (like in MKDA when you unlock it in the Krypt) they dont add false info. An example would be the Drum Arena, when you read the Kontent thing and it said that in the case ofa draw, the Big drummer comes and fights both of the ppl. I think they should have actually done it...

Umm people didn't MK2 not have 2 fatals for EVERYONE. I think Scorpion has 3 as wit Shang Tsung. 2 is the min and I wouldn't mind a few people having a 3rd classic fatal.

1,2,3,4 fatalities.....doesnt matter to me.I play MK2 Daily and i'll tell you what....That game is so fun and plays so well,I can do the same fatalities over and over and never get bored with it.If the game play in MK.D. is rock solid,and the fatalities nice and creepy (screams included),then the MK we all know will be everlasting.Who doesnt love the shangtsung kintaro morph fatality?Those screams are worth doing that fatality over and over imo.

Fuck that.. two fatal moves, one hari kari, one TEAM FATALITIY. death traps. stage fatals, AND SOME RANDOM FATALITIES AT THE END OF A ROUND. LIKE A PUNCH COMBO, KICK COMBO, THROW COMBO, BONE CRUSHING COMBO, WEAPON COMBO..... PLUS SOME HIDDEN SUPER MOVES IS PLENTY. ANY LESS THAN THAT PEACE OUT I GO BACK TO STREET FIGHTER 4-EVER.

Two fatalities are enough.Just make them all kick ass...no sucky ones and no one should complain.As for getting tired of fatalities,it depends on the fatalities.I never get tired of seeing Kung Lao's hat split MK2,Sub-Zero's spinal pull MK1,Scorpion's head spear MKDA.As long as it's cool I don't think we'll get tired of them.

I don't think that 2 Fatalities are enough. Plain and simple. The MK team has been hovering around that amount since MK2 and since, it's been 2 (or 1 in the case of Deadly Alliance). Each character should have like 4 or 5--adds a lot of depth to the "Finish Him" and "Finish Her" moments of the game. And depth is very important in a fighting game--especially for MK. It's time the MK team got outrageous--after all, it IS the sixth Mortal Komabt.

There should be 2 new Fatalities, 2 returning classics and 1 weapon Fatality. Add the deathtraps, hari-karis and stage Fatalities and ou have an all out death fest.
