Have you checked to make sure it's cool with Midway? We don't want to get sued or anything because we are making money off the MK franchise.

Maybe we could do some examples and pitch it to them.

See if they want to run with it, making money as well.

Bleed, that would be fantastic - I loved your Scorpion sketch and your digital Motaro Render. If you can come up perhaps with a sketch of Chameleon or the characters we don't have full renders of?

I imagine it could be like the Gamefan MK Trilogy guide, which was, IMO one of the best guides yet.

Also - we don't necessarily have to charge for it, just put the MKO name on it. I'd imagine we could call it the MKOnline Mortal Kombat Guide.

Anyone want to contact the Admin on MKO about this?
IMO, for a project like this, it would be a waste to have it be for free.

I think If people are going to put so much work in to it, they should be reimbursed some how.

bleed, any character renditions or art you'd especially like to do so I can send Aculeus some suggestions if he aggrees? Perhaps a good ten page conept art/ fan art section is good for a book like this.

Also, we're cutting out Motor Kombat, and UMK3.

We'll also be including KAK pictures of "Fan made" Real characters like Khameleon, Tremor, Kia, Jataaka and the such along with the recipes on how to make them - this is where Shadaloo comes in along with those doing the Khameleon contest. (Someone let me know if he's been messaged about this.)

True. I'd imagine I could get something worked out once D'Arque gets back to me, or into this topic.

We'll have to include the Kia KAF you did Legacy, also I noticed you're working on Jataaka as well, so I'm waiting on that.

Also - bleed, I'd imagine we'd need'em for those characters. We could dedicate a couple pages to each artist who does some contributions to the guide. I really like your Scorpion sketch too, perhaps we could include that as well?

Keep me updated. Keep this up top.

Also...Can you guys leave me your AIM/AOL screen name..so later in the week we can organize a chat room and get some ideas across?

I tried making Jataaka Monday. Unfortuntely she didn't come out too well. I'm currently trying to think of a new design for her because the items in KAF didn't work with her too well.

Ah...I made Tremor pretty easily, however, I haven't worked out a good battle plan for him yet.

We could actually set those characters up just like the other 60+, but with a KAK formula included.
Nemesis - I added you. I plan to get in touch with all of you later in the week.

How are we going to handle the bios?
Are we going to simply retype the official bio/win screens from the games or are we going to actually assemble each character's information into a chronologically correct,cohesive narrative with maybe some character analysis sprinkled on top? If it's the latter,you can definitely count on me. I'll gladly contribute to the project.

I believe Darksub Zero is also in this story line grouping. There are a couple others too. I'm going to get all you guys in an aIm chat room and discuss how we're going to split up the details and such. Also I believe MK2007 is doing the layout, and I think Justin will be manning renders and such. We still need someone to get good HQ screens.
Example = just a quick sketch.

This is how I start all my stuff.


We could do close ups, or full body renders, etc... Whatever looks good for the lay out.

That's awesome bleed! I'd imagine we'd do full body...though for the tops of the pages for indexing, we'll use mug shots.

ninja arts, i think this is an awesome idea. But a suggestion, could you if people on this site are helping, can you make the guide downloadable.

Also be careful with copyright when doing the renders( just a helpful tip). You need a certain way to credit what ever source you got the pictures from (unless you guys are making the pictures yourself instead of taking renders).

I'd imagine we'd credit Midway, of course - most of the renders we'd credit as being released by Midway - we'd just have to get them without watermark or copyright on them so we can credit Midway for them.
