Jax HIMSELF is not a bad thing. It's the fact the we don't think he deserves to be in THIS game, because there are much better characters to take his place.

Now that he's both we can all love him

Jax is far from being an iconic Mortal Kombat, IMO. It would be fine if he was basically in the game to represent the ''American'' side of the MK universe, but Sonya's already in the game and she's far more iconic and important to MK than Jax. I sure as hell don' t need Sonya AND Jax in the game, they should've tried to get as many different characters from the MK Universe as possible.

well so far nothing, im not even sure what they can do as big news other than add characters, and like ppl already mentioned they would put a clue like that when they add characters on normal days. or maybe theyll fill in all the spots and they said 080808 meaning thats the day all the characters are gunna be in, maybe something like that. i dont think theyre going to add that much othert han that because the mk team usually finishes the game site totally after the game has come out.

Face it, people are mad about Jax so they have something to bitch about. Before that it was Sonya, and then it turned into Liu Kang, and now it is Jax.

What they were talking about with Sonya and Liu Kang was not bitching. They didn't like how Sonya looked like a man and Liu Kang apparently became a professional wrestler in his off-time. Jax being in the game...well, we can talk about it as much as we want but I don't think it will change anything.

Remember, it's not bitching if your argument is constructive. If you go around saying, "Jax is stupid and shouldn't be in this game", that is bitching. But honestly, there are much more iconic characters from MKs 1,2 and 3 than Jax.

Jax is plenty iconic. I know a lot of people who like his character. People tend to forget some of the following facts about Jax. He is the most physically strong human character in the series, he is the very first black character, he was insanely popular when MK2 and MK3 were out, and he has been in both of the movies. I would say that makes him pretty iconic. Any of the Earthrealm crew

And how is complaining about Sonya looking like a man constructive? I've seen plenty of screen shots where Sonya looks just fine. It is obviously just her battle face in the render and nothing else.

You have to be fucking kidding me. If you had to have people representing Mortal Kombat, Jax would be one of them? Jax has always been just Sonya's sidekick. That's it. He's never been truly important or relevant to the main storyline, the only character he ever helps develop is hum HIMSELF? And to this day I don't see how a black soldier who's the strongest man in the world with metal arms fits in with Rayden, Sub-Zero, Shang Tsung and Kung Lao. It's bullshit. It's total bullshit.

If they added Jax and not Sonya that would be one thing (still bullshit though, Sonya is far more important and recognizable than JAX) but adding both? Why don't we add Tanya and Jade as well? It should've been completely different characters from different sides of MK to represent everyone.

Something like,

Rayden, Liu Kang, Shao Kahn, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Kitana, Sonya, Goro and either Reptile or Kung Lao or something. Not JAX.

also, Jax was in both the mk movies. i think that spells iconic

he only had like 5 seconds of screen time in the first MK movie does that count?

Let's be honest... Like it or not, the race card gets Jax instant status.
You don't even need to get into the fact that the MKSF climate clearly shifted pro-Jax by MK4, when most people were well and truly calling for Sonya to be killed off.

When it comes to MK, I'm not sure you really need more than a strong visual cue, ie; metal arms, to be "iconic."
He's an easily identified, well known character.
