I for one thought she played an integral part in Mortal kombat 4, and thought she was one of the best new charachters, but i know i'm in the minority, everyone just hates the bitch lol.

Anyway, i'm sure she'll be great this time around.

I Agree to, infact I made a thread about that very subject (Tanya having Capoeira as a style) And I completely agree with tgrant. Tanya, if handled correctly could be amazing. She just needs a few good styles that take advantage of her speed and perhaps a new look uniform wise and she is set. No one will probably say this now, except for tgrant, but I really believe that Tanya will become a Favorite in Deception. After all with all of returning characters from previous games, it's like Deception is giving characters not so well recieved the first time around the chance to redeem themselves. So I don't think Boon and Co will screw it up.

But this is kindof the last chance Tanya has. If she is not a complete succes(costumes,styles,fatalities,you name it.)She's totally over. But i think she will be lucky. But i don't think that she would team up with Baraka and Mileena, it just does not feel right. Yeah, Frost wore pants too, but i think it's time for Edenian women to show that they do wear pants from time to time.
And i was thinking, what kind of specials would Tanya have with her boomerang? this could be interesting...

I basically didnt want tanya back, but ill see about her in MK6.

I agree completely, although Tanya was never screwed up, she was misunderstood. I hope they utilise her speed well and give her a beneficial style that utilises both kicks and speed effectively. And yes, Tanya will be a fave in Deception! She will always be a fave with me, regardless.

What about Tanya vs Liu Kang, he should be pissed at her, her being a traitor to Edenia and the woman he loves(Kitana.)

Tanya neckbreaker move was really original, I can say the same thing for her boomerang who was a very cool weapon.

I've got no problem with her, and her storyline potential is really big. But is she is in, I hope that Li Mei will not bein, because they are a bit similar characters move wise.

Yes, her ending did'nt happen, but is'nt it already mentioned in her profile that she is a traitor? Anyway, she could very well be good, but i think it just would feel to weird. And i have a feeling she still will be evil. But that's just me.

Tanya not evil? i don't think so. She let Shinnok enter Edenia; Shinnoks bio mention's "With the aid of a traitor, he then is able to overtake the real of Edenia" That traitor is Tanya. Mk4 would have never happend if it wasn't for her.

Agreed. Tanya cannot be good. She is just a character that is better suited to evil. I think it'd be kind of cheesy if they made her turn around. Beside I think she is just more interesting as an evil character. She reminds me a lot of Vorpax from the tv series and I loved to see the different and inventive ways she decieved people. Tanya needs to stay evil.

Tanya must stay evil! She's cunning and deceptive. And beautiful. She's potentially dangerous by having just those things. Factor in her fighting ability and she becomes downright deadly. She has so much more going for her as an evil character as she was in MK4. Making her good would be pretty boring.

True, only Sonya has looked decent in all games. I hope she stays like that for a future kombat. All other females look like ******, maybe Ashrah will finally be something different, and Li mei in MKDA (first costume) was decent.

Tanya must be evil, her story is much more interesting that way. We already have enough good females and enough characters who turned from evil to good (Sindel is probable still good in this one). Although it would be interesting to see a good character turn evil for a change.

Well being that the theme for this game is Deception and Boon said most characters will be affected by deception. I say it's possible whe'll see a good guy turn traiter. Sub Zero maybe? Don't know but I think someone will.

Good point, but my bet for a good kharakter turning evil would be Cyrax. Or maybe this time, Frost will show herself to be really evil. I dunno.

Now with Liu Kang death I could not think of a better character to turn evil then Sub-Zero. With him being the grandmaster of the Lin Kuei now then probable the whole clan would turn against us. That would be a really good twist IMO. Especially if the Lin Kuei would work together with the Dragon King then they would be really strong.

That’s exactly where I see Tanya fit in MKD, she will probable serve the Dragon King. I imagine Tanya as a character who would kiss butt with the biggest force around and serve them till she gets an opportunity for herself and betrays her master for it.

And no, I don’t want her to keep the square wave punch, I want her to have all unique moves so they better come up with some new ones.

Sub-Zero becoming evil would be a huge setback for Earth realm. For him to turn would take a lot.

I think that Tanya will be one of the deceptive characters in this game and I wouldn't be surprised if she and Sindel were to fight each other. Since Kitana is being held captive by the Dragon King, perhaps Tanya will be siding with him.

As long as it’s not another “Kiss of Death” then everything is fine by me. Actually I hope she gets both new fatalities, her other fatality in MK4 was okay but they can be much better.
