Um, excuse me? I have been on this site since it has been called MK5.org. I have been a fan since MK1 in the arcades. I'm a noob because I think these two worlds do not go together? Buddy, you got some nerve. People are pissed because they LOVE MK, what it was, to some extent what it is, and now THIS?
People are pissed because they want MK8. A REAL MK8 with ALL MK characters, not this crossover business (especially DC).
Fact is, more people are pissed than are enjoying this, and a MAJORITY of the people that are pissed are the ones that have been here longer than most. So pick your words carefully next time.

Skaven, it doesn't matter anymore.. I, for one, just gonna stick to the previous mk games and that's it. If they can't hold a promise, need a quick buck or just plain lazy it's their problem. Exactly. Among the wave of discussion about this new game, i've finally found someone with whom i agree completely.
I've been playing MK since i was 6 years old, and since then (12 years ago) i love MK like a fucking geek. Now i am extremely dissapointed with this crossover nonsence, and i thought my opinion would have a tremendous back up here, on the greatest MK site... but no, there actually is people who say they LIKE this vs concept, and even DARE TO INSULT THE ONES WHO DO NOT.... WTF?

If you haven't noticed, the people who like this idea are fucking n00bs, or super calm and patient fans who decided to give this game a chance.
I myself, am feeling capable of entering Midway HQ and blow that shit up once and for all. They are destroying a fucking amazing saga with unbelievably deep story and spirit.

After MK Armaggedon, i thought Midway would correct all the flaws they had in it, like:

- no storyline at all;
- no Fatalities;
- ridiculous aerial combat bullshit;
- stupid mini-games;
- stupid comic relife, wich i always hated for turning MK silly

and so on..

but no, they screwed it up even more.... they screamed a big FUCK UP to the hardcore fans, decided to make a game with an even more ridiculous story than Armaggedon, and decided to turn public that their money hunger is stronger that their love for their child... MK.

I am disgusted.

If it wasn't for us. Boon wouldn't even have a franchise. So how is getting rid of loyal fans gonna keep his profits from this game at a high? Because of the fan boys? Sure, it will. But when you add up the unsatisfied people to, the more excited people. It's the unsatisfied ones who will have midway losing sales. So midway will be making profit. But no where near what it would if an entire community of people were paying for it.

There's millions of marvel fans, look how well Marvel Nemesis turned out. A month online, this game lasted before people were off to find a new game. I know, I bought it.

It took Boon and Co/Midway like nearly two years to make this next game and it turned out to be a pile of shit (even tho it's not out yet). I am totally disgusted with this as well. Could they still be pulling our leg with this? Maybe a week before the release of MKvsDC, they will tell us that we got served and then future our MK8 game that we want.

I still have some sort of hope for the true MK8 game. MKvsDC is just a cover-up 'til MK8 is totally completed!!!

Now I have been playing this game since day one. i was in the cades dropping 1000's of quarters into MK1. then i was there for MK2 when it brought the arcades back to life having lines of guys waiting to play to each other. this wasnt just one day, one week, or one month MK2 had lines of folks waiting to play it after a year in the cades. oddly we were all good players, unlike now a days, where you really cant find many good players. pretty much just 10% of the fan base actually know how to really use the fighting system in the past 3 MK games. i remember after the mall closed down my group plus other groups going to the billards to continue our MK2 battles till 2 am.


anyway other then Skaven13, the ones bitching about this game are the storyline fanatics.

FUCK THE STORY, its been crap since MK3. MK4's was kinda ok.


Skaven ~ this is prolly the best thing for us, we could actually get Sindel in this game unlike their oringnal plan.

Speaking of their oringinal plan,

1 ~ they were planning on wiping the slate clean w/ almost no classic characters.

2 ~ the storyline was going to be changed and new.

However w/ this game, you storyline freaks will have a continuation of the current storyline w/ a TWIST.

Midway actually just got me excited for MK again. i just started getting into TekkenDR and found out i was getting robbed in the fighting game area of the game. i was thinking to myself, maybe i wont be buying the new MK game. they disappointed me time and time again after The great MK2 (which i still play thank god for the PS3 & Mame).
Now i am psyched for this new MK game.
1 ~ my fav characters actually have a chance of returning.
2 ~ they are actually focusing on the fighting this time around instead of the stupid storyline, stupid side games and not focusing too much time on fatalities.
