Why close this thread? Can't people have a discussion about what they like and dislike about the MK games? C'mon, we're all fans here, and we all like all the characters on the whole, just some less than others. I happen to like Baraka, Kabal, Reptile, Fujin, Kenshi, Quan Chi, Kung Lao, Kano, Scorpion, Jade, Mavado, and Sektor alot, while not liking Nightwolf, Sindel, Jax, Sonya, Reiko, and Cyrax all that much, and hardly liking Blaze, Mokap, Meat, Bo Rai Cho, Jarek, and Hsu Hao at all.

I'm not trying to anger anyone by saying any of those names. Yeah, I think that the original poster could've phrased things a little less harsh, but no worries. Veinz, you put Ermac in a perspective I never thought about before. The fans pretty much did create him. That's a good way to look at it. I think the guy justified his dislike for Ermac just fine though. People can talk and disagree. No worries. I like Ermac, I think he looks awesome in MK:D, but if you don't like him so much, then that's cool. I think his storyline will be better than it was in the past. We'll see though!

The truth is that im UMK3 and MKT many of the Ninjas were just color and moves swaps.

Ermac has cool moves so I have no prob with the character. z:o

I see his point. Now that's not to say I'll give Ermac a chance in deception because he does look pretty cool and since I love ninjas(see username) I'm open to taking a liking to him in MKD. But I agree about him hardly having any story. I think if I remember correctly his sole story is summed up in one line. A warrior created by Shang Tsung using other warriors souls. Now if that's not just an easy story to complete a character I don't know what is. Oh, and for the person who said his fireball is original. It was Shao Khans fireball first.

Noob Saibot is the lamest character IMO but I'm not hatin on anybody who likes him. After all I'm a huge Smoke fan so it's all good. We all have different reasons for liking certain charcters over others. It's just all a matter of opinion.

Everyone is entilted to their opinion. If everyone agreed the world would be a boring place so let people say they dont like Ermac if they want to. Im sure whoever started the thread has a favourite character who will be disliked by others. Everyone is entilted to their owm personal opinion.
I dont particularly like Ermac, but not because he was created from a glitch. I just think there was something odd about him, and to be honest I got sick of all the nija clones after Scorpion, Sub Zero and Reptile.

You have your own opinion and we have ours. I personally think Ermac is fucking awesome and I wanted him back in DA and when they mentioned him in Konquest I was pumped up because I thought he would be in the next MK. Now that he is confirmed in MK:D I am even more pumped up. But you have your own opinion and I won't judge it.

I like Ermac a lot, he just needs some improvement on the story and his own moves.

I'm not totally digging his Deception look though...

I have to agree with some of the negatives about Ermac. I also disliked that he had Scorpion's Teleport Punch and Shao Khan's energy ball. I never liked that he was an accumulation of souls either because I find this difficult to understand.
I liked his Telekinetic Slam but I don't know how useful it was. I wished the designers had put more thought into this "telekinetic ninja." He would have had a stronger telekinetic theme if the green energy ball had be clear and he'd copied Scorpions Forward Punch.
Hopefully, Ermac will be fleshed out in Deception so his fans will be happy.

All the ninjas are entirely original in MKD!! Ermac looks BADASS in MK6. Why do people insist that he's still just a palette swap? Such Ignorance.

I disliked Ermac about a while before Deadly Alliance. I disliked Ermac because his storyline and character was undeveloped. I always saw Ermac a poor excuse of a character untill I seen Kenshi's storyline in Konquest mode.

Then I relized Ermac had alot of potential as an ally of Kenshi. Ermac has a purpose to serve Kenshi and is an enigma of souls for the side of good. From what I heard, the Dragon King is nearly unstopable. So I think Ermac is a positive addition to the good side.

I always liked Ermac (even in the horrid Annihilation). He's easily makes as my favorite ninja in the MK series. Regardless if he was designed from a glitch, numerous characters in the series that weren't, had awful storylines (Nightwolf, Fujin, Jarek etc., not to diss those characters). I agree when someone said that it's more than likely that Ermac will be a hero in MKD, and that all makes an even more thrilling plot for the ninja. Also, just to let some fans know "Fujin" in Japanese means "Mrs." and "Wife."

I'm curious though, I know in the second MK movie, Ermac was one of Khan's generals, and I remember him being evil in the games that he's been in, so will we have a little deception here? Ermac crossing Kenshi? Should be interesting. I also agree with everyone that Ermac wasn't all that interesting in past MK games, but he does look AWESOME in MK:D. No more palette swaps! Ive always liked all the ninjas. I felt that they were an MK staple. Ermac, Noob, Smoke, and Rain all kick ass, IMO. I am really glad now that the ninjas all have their own unique look and feel. Ermac looks espicially cool. Cant wait till i see more pics of him.

Yeah, sorry about the fireball comment, I forget Khan's was the same. Though I dint' say it was unique, I said generic which basically means like any other fireball. Of course I did forget that it was Khan's and now I feel a little less satisfied about him as a character.... thanks, hehe.

I'm a big fan of the ninja's too, and would love to see them all back, even Reptile (I would gladly change the story simply because he was my favorite and now a ninja fan loses his favorite one!). Oh well, I like Reptile the way he is too now, and the story is better for it so more power I guess for the story.

I think Ermac will be a tremendous character in MK:D and I don't think we'll have to worry at all about anybody's story in this game. In this world of time constraints and 3d gaming, it always seems that a game is never quite complete when it is realeased. Something always seems to be left out due to time. MKD though seems different, look at all the stuff it will have already and look at how much time is left. In my opinion this will be one of the first games since SNES that will come out very close to the form it was meant to come out as.

Nope. Ermac was manipulated by Kahn. He didn't have a choice. Even today, we still have no idea what kind of morals or values Ermac holds(if any).

Ermacs cool, he is the coolest confirmed char (Besides Sindel#1 and Kenshi#2). I cant really say y i like him, i just do,maybe its his colors, orange and green or summtin. I dont know hes just cool
