I've barely played but overall, it seems it's the best engine since UMK3.

As for characters, ive played only a few but:

- Superman is top/god tier.
- Joker sucks, the dude has nothing but bombs. It's like MKDA Cyrax.
- Catwoman is ok, her only useful mid are those two kicks pop up special moves it's not a bad move but it's really unsafe on block... Her other two whip specials have a really long start up time and both can simply be low blocked. Her air whip hits mid but it's slow as well.
- Suby seems very solid, he has some nice moves and his parry is a bitch.

I didn't get online yet, has it changed?

yea, joker isn't as good as expected, he's more of a turtle character.

Yeah, I third the Joker comment. As much as I'd like to use him... he's not very good.

Raiden - this mfer's got a pro move that lets him come out of his grab (shocker) special move. Talk about timing. The combo I came up with is dope though. Yielded something like 35% damage before I stopped fooling with it. I know I could get more though.

Sub-Zero - good to go all around

Kitana - Juggler.

I call them^^ the "Mortal Kombat Crips". lol

Shang Tsung (37% damage, 9hit? combo), and Kano (about the same as Shang) are good to go too.

Captain Marvel was a surprise, but I still don't like that character.

My favorite part about the game is how you can link specials into combos.

Sub's 11,bd2 or 11,df3... etc.
