First. Awesome... Li mei. Great chick, but a real good mileena wanna be. In a kinda way that is strange. Other words, she was the Deadly Alliance holder for Mileena. But still, this is great.

I'm just going to copy and paste my responses from the other thread here.

I <3 Li Mei... I just find it amusing that Ed Boon was using the word "sexy" every five seconds to describe her and her moves. Seriously, he's like "well, she's kind of our sexy bombshell character. She wears this sexy outfits and does these sexy moves with her legs..." Way to not sound like a nerd, Boon.

It's also odd that they placed an emphasis on her learning moves from Shujinko. It's true that she learned fighting moves from Shujinko in Deception's Konquest... But I find it extremely stupid that they made absolutely NO MENTION of Bo Rai Cho. Shujinko at best has very little to do with her training (considering she could have defeated KANO had the Deadly Alliance not interfered and this was before she even MET Shujinko) whereas Bo Rai Cho had a tremendous impact on her and is pretty much the reason why she's such a badass now. It also doesn't hurt that he saved her life as well.

Leave it to the MK Team to over simplify things.

I know, this really irks me that they made absolutely no mention of Bo Rai Cho even though he saved her life and is directly responsible for her becoming the skilled bad ass of a fighter she is now. What did Shujinko do? Taught her a few things while she was enslaved (which obviously didn't help her against the DA)? Call me crazy but I think Bo Rai Cho's just a wee bit more important to Li Mei than Shujinko.

I like Li Mei, and I think she has potential for the next-gen MK games. I felt the video was a bit too short and didn't go much into her story. I mean, they gave a rather brief description, but no mention of her MKD story bits.

It's good to know that she has Liu He Ba Fa again, even though they spelled it Lui He Ba Fa again. I hope it gets some toning up with some good lows and other stuff. I wonder what her other style is going to be and if she'll get any new special moves.
