This is one of the most ignorant posts I have ever seen. MK doesn't out-sell its compitetion maybe here in the US (except Tekken and maybe DOA). But worldwide not at all, most other mainstream fighting games outsell MK worldwide. There is no way out-plays these "lil fighthing games" it doesn't even have a wake up game which has become standard in fighting games, these "lil fighting games" also have so much larger movesets and not too many infinites. Not to mention the outdated dial-a-combo MK uses. Don't get me wrong I love MK like every other fan on this board but here is no way that it is superior to the other fighting games out there.

Usually I wouldn't mind cunstructive critisism because it was mostly true (even though I loved MKD and MKDA) but when someone says something that isn't true, I'll get involved. MKA looks like the best MKA gameplay wise. The only thing I dislike are the two fightinf styles and the fatalities. Everything thing else is amazing! The gameplay is fast and looks terrific. CAC is looking wonderful. Graphics and arenas are outstanding! And so what if CACs could go online? If you're good at MK then you'll find ways to beat created characters. I don't think infinites will happen cause of the air fights so there you go! If you don't like it then don't buy it.

I don't think the gameplay looks good. In terms of speed and animation, it reminds me of MK4. Regardless of how completely unnatural those air combos look, I also tend to believe MKA is going to be another bad game just like MKDA and MKD. But, I hope I'll be wrong. Like I said, our best bet is that every character will be broken, not just some.

And to all noobs here thinking "omg mk iz teh greatest!!!": you're a bunch of kids in need of a hype, and probably know nothing about fighting games.

It's official: Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but they're not entitled to force it on others. Believe the game sucks, believe it will rule. Believe MK always has been terrible, or wonderful: just stop passing off your opinion as fact. There's too much of that going on here.

Don't know why people have to bash on this game and argue over it, I watched the videos, Ed Boone clearly said that it has been in the works for two years folks, I am pretty sure there's gonna be IMPROVED features in the fighting engine, and seeing how they can put a whole new version of MK out in about 6 months at least , I'm gonna take a good guess that they will elminate all the glitching and make things ALOT better.

Anyway aboutt he KaK...I think it will be fun, and to those ppl who need to study moves...just fight every cahracter in the game, you should know the moves then.

I also believe that DOAU sucked, MKD far out-owned any DOA title, the combos are alot more interesting in MK, if you think DOA was alot better then I think you must be into doing only basic combos, the fighting style is alot better, with the branch combos as well. DOA had a horrible storyline, horrible fun-factor, and was ONLY eye candy, the fighting was all the same.

People are completely naive if they think that the online play won't be totally dominated by five thousand God-tier created characters that all use the same moves. There WILL be one juggle or combo in this game that WILL be incredibly dangerous, and when it's discovered, everybody is going to use it. It'll be a race to see who can hit "that combo" first.

But anyway, what irks me the most is the near nonexistence of start up on most moves that i've seen. Again. I don't have to wait seven months to be able to tell from the footage shown so far that nobody is going to know what the hell their opponent is going to throw at them half the time.

I could've lived with all the other horrible stuff if they had just slowed it down a tinsy little bit to give me a fighting chance to know whether i should block low or high.

I definitely agree with that. And since we're entitled to our opinion i'd like to safely voice the fact that I think MKA will really surprise us (in a good way in fact). I honestly think the gameplay is going to be greatly improved (just a feeling...don't get mad at me if it isn't,lol) and obiviously the game improves overrall at least a little with each game. If the MK Team expects us to dive for MK 8 on next gen consoles then I realli hope they will try their best (even if their best may not be too much) and give us at least a few things we've been waiting for.

Anyone care to nuke that one? The vast majority of MKD's top players agree that the gameplay is crap and needs to be fixed. HJS-Q happens to be one of them.



HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! My broke ass online character will have an unbreakable throw that leads to an infinite. If players duck the throw, I will use a 6-frame mid that also leads to an infinite. All of my low and high pokes will be safe with retardedly good priority, and will somehow lead to infinites. Every other KAK that is online will probably be EXACTLY LIKE MINE. Its already ruined.

It's too early to say it sucks.... I suggest people wait and see where its going next, quite frankly if you don't like the way Mortal Kombat plays, you shouldn't be on this site dude, and you definatly shouldn't put down a tital thats in developement...

i still the same here, so predictable. vets say the game will suck, 3 year old noobs think boon is god. look, im not judging it but the way the last games were built up and suppose to be great turned out to be:

a).great fighting games
b).the best of all time wipeing tekken and other fighters out
c).greatest cause reviewers say so
d).ok medicore, bad fighting engine games
e). complete shit that was built up and complete waste of money due to so many flaws

my answer is e. and most people here who know about fighiting games would say so. the game has every character. ooooo. that doesnt make a game good. neither does a revamped fataltiy system, they revamp that over the fighting engine, but that was predictable, due to this being the last on modern consoles.

the games not gonna be good, it's gonna be broken and have so many glitches that the frame rate becomes worse than kotor2. im not gonn say a game is great when all the main flaws of the game will still be there. makeing a pretty konquest and all these side things are nice, but obviously filler.


and noobs, bring backing info to the table if your gonna defend it, dont call others dumbasses because you can't prove your point, thats a how a debate works. and well, you suck at it, so work on that too, you probaly won't just like boon and co wont fix the problems

You can't prove any of that for sure either man.We are talking about a brand new game in MK A, a game that has yet to come out, not deception.

Some of you seem to think rather shallow of KaK users.

Yeah okay sure, there'll be a fair share of losers who use a cookie-cutter god KaK receipe and dominate with it, but they're the same folks who abused Bo Rai Cho and Smoke's infinites in MKD. People like that are going to find the cheapest edge possible no matter what. Screw them all and their respectless victorys! No one admires a total brat.

But most of us will just be using it to create character ideas of interest to us, and these character will have a very specific ideas for movesets, not just "Let's put the most overbalanced crap on one guy". There a very large fanbase forming behind this feature (at least 25% of this forum choose to vote for it even over the returning character list.)

Do you really think the majority of us just want to use the feature as way to make characters to infinite-juggle people to death? If so its rather insulting of you to think so.

As someone greatly looking forward to taking a balanced set of KaKs on-line, I have a simple solution for dealing with dorks who abuse the feature: I'm going to quit ANY match against a broken KaK the moment they expose themselves. If a standard character turns broken it was a mistake on the developer's part that can't be repaired. If a KaK is broken, not only can they fixed, but it also shows that the designer designed them that way on purpose. Totally disrepectful and if they get every player they play dropping the match maybe they'll take a hint and knock it off.

As for Tournaments, I am of the STRONG opinion that any player who abuses brokeness with ANY character should be automaticly disqualified on the spot. There no excuse be with a standard or KaK for such dishonorable, and no ones going to give them praise or credit them if they win anyways.

Why? He's a bigger fan than everyone who just blindly accepts whatever Midway slaps the dragon logo onto because he actually wants to see Mortal Kombat grow into a great fighting game instead of just being a great game.

yeah you can, it still has the same engine, meaning brokeness and glitch heaven. so it will be so similar to the 2 its not funny. the air combat will be also broken to and infiintives there too. its just gonna happen.
