Get up attack

In the TMK video at 7:40 Scorpion does a get up attack. (laying dropkick)
Also, there’s an after match move at 4:46. (scorpion spears the camera like before)

Seen this one from Shang Tsung.
Glad they're in there, though I wish to see more options from the ground for one single character. Almost to a point where it'd be feasible to fight whole matches from the ground.
Actually, it'd be cool if they simply had a character like that. "Tombstone" is a whole martial arts style after all(I think). I wonder what it'd be like with MKs action base gameplay.
Certainly sounds interesting.

I think it's a good idea honestly, MKA was on the path of good now it'll be better with this engine. No more OTG's, AC or FT's...any of that shit that some players in MKD/MKA resorted to for easy wins.
There's also the ability to stay on the ground, I posted about it in another thread but that's back as well.
We know there's a kounter via the klose kombat which is good, but so far I haven't seen any sign of parries within the standard gameplay.
With this engine, it's not nearly as necessary as it was with MKD/MKA's engine with the dial ups into FT's and OTG's etc
Actually, on closer inspection.. I think that one from Shang may be a special move. It happens so quick in the vid.. but there are actually two kicks to it. The first one looks like Shang is sliding along the ground (because of the dust that flying past him) to launch his opponent and then he delivers the second kick to finish the move off:
Pic of the first Kick:

Of course, I could be completely wrong. Not saying I know for sure.

yeah, I think that kick was a special move or just one of his basic attacks. I don't think it was a get up attack.

Now that mention it, I'm not sure either....looks like it could be a wake up attack but then again I haven't seen anyone else do this in the gameplay vids at E3.
