Hmmm... well as long as they are good strong charecters with great moves and a deep story then I couldn't care less how many there were... unless there is like 5 and then I would be mad...

yeah, it will probably be around 40, who knows. I kind of forgot how many characters MKDA had in total. But i'm sure deception will have more than DA did.

Yeah, as long as they're cool.If they just try to reach a certain amount and cram a bunch of weird characters then *no*. I doubt that they will though, "I love the look of all the characters so far" smile

Shoot, man, they should put as many interesting, worth-while characters as possible in MKD. The more, the better.

No but you see people, how many charecters can you make before it gets tired and repetitive? And what would you rather have? 35 Charecters with all the same moves? Or fun and exciting play modes and an in- depth Konquest mode? Memory is the issue here, and like I said before, Quality over Quantity

That's true, I don't want to see another Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. I hope that in Adventure mode, you could unlock the hidden characters that you run across and mabey fight. So the roster could start off at 15 characters and ends at 30.

DA has a full roster at like 24 or something and I was happy with that... I agree on the UMK3 thing... the age- old question "How many ninjas can you make out of 3 sprites?" and of course we know the answer to be 13... but back in the day they didn't need to come up with more fun modes that challenge the mind and hands... they could just have one mode and it would be a hit... now a days you need to have like 7(over- exaggeration) to qualify... I don't even know if I'm making sense anymore...

I would agree with having 24 playable characters, with an additional 4 secret characters. However, I do not want to sit and unlock half the player characters. That was my biggest bitch about MK:DA.

Yea i agree also. Who wants 40 characters that are jus complete duplicate fighters? That would be a dissapointment in itself. I say around 20 would be cool. But I also agree that half the roster should NOT be locked. That takes away the "pick up and play right out of the box" feeling a fighting game should have. I hated having to work my ass off jus to unlock a generic fighter jus to see how crappy they are.
I expect around 20 on the roster and up to 4 hidden.

Could be wrong.. just hope they deliver the goods.

Deadly Alliance had 21, plus the two secret characters. So 23 all together. I honestly thought that some of the characters, such as Bo Rai Cho, Jax, and Hsu Hao, were useless to begin with. I certainly don't want 40 characters in Deception. Screw that.

Anything over 25 is over-kill. I don't want any cannon folder like Jarek, Bo Rai Cho, or Rain, thrown into the game just to increase the character roster.
